team abilities....again, sigh!

I have E Ultron and V Bullseye on the roof, Bullseye takes a shot using Spider Sindicate and taking Ultron's attack of 13. Can Ultron turn around and use Shield ability to add 1 to damage. Does SS team ability last till the end of the attack, or does it end when the attack begins, thereby allowing shield to start?

Im pretty sure you can only use one ability at a time. Meaning, the ability lasts till the end of the attack.

Sinister Syndicate would be in effect at the same time as SHIELD in this case. Keep in mind that the SHIELD ability, btw, must be declared along with the attack and be in effect at the start.

Sorry, I was unclear. Because they would have to be in effect at the same time, they cannot both be used.
