I have a 500 point game coming up with no restrictions, and I have fun using such point values to try out my "substitute" LSH characters, usually because I can build a team based on an actual comic.

I haven't used Tyroc (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=430&pictureid=5863) yet, so here is a potential team (from Superboy 216. (http://www.comics.org/coverview.lasso?id=29720&zoom=4)..the famous "blue skin, yellow skin, green skin...we have them all!" issue), tell me what you think about this "Teen" team:

100 Young Superman
70 Anarky (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=430&pictureid=4730) (as Brainiac 5 "green skin")
63 Karate Kid (with appropriate mod from flatmatt (http://home.comcast.net/%7Eflatmatt/mods/)! "yellow skin")
60 Rookie Ray (as Tyroc)
56 Exp Umbra "blue skin"

That is the core of the "away team" that meets Tyroc, so with the remaining points, I thought I would add:

60 Dawnstar "red skin" (IIRC she didn't actually join until later)
70 (starter) Cosmic Boy (he depolyed the group to Marzal)
+12 w/Contingency Plan

or I could go for "pure cover fun" and add

77 Speedball (as Bouncing Boy (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/album.php?albumid=430&pictureid=7026) as another "tryout")
65 Vet Triplicate Girl

For the second option, I could demote Triplicate Girl to the Exp (50 points) and upgrade Shadow Lass (66 for the vet) and add some feats (Opportunist on Speedball?) or BSTs (Jarvis for 4 points of free move)

I don't know about your team but I love your cards

Good choices!

I played the team today...accidentally cheating by using:

100 Young Superman
70 Anarky (as Brainiac 5)
63 Karate Kid
60 Rookie Ray (as Tyroc)
66 Vet Shadow Lass
77 Speedball (as Bouncing Boy)
+ 10 Opportunist
4 Jarvis

65 Vet Triplicate Girl <- Was supposed to be the 50 point Experienced

The team didn't do too poorly.

Anarky kept them from being sniped, until he was KOed. I simply cannot keep this figure in play. Still, it plays like a Brainiac 5 to me.

Ray/Tyroc was the victim of an early HSS attack, but his ranged attacks were useful. He did miss two mid-dial single target Pulse Wave attacks however.

I like the Vet Shadow Lass the best...respectable range and damage values. I'm not found of those low DV "Defend" clicks, but top-dial she always does well.

Speeball was great...and I never had the chance to use Opportunist. Playing this combo conservatively early (carry him, then clear) gets two tokens on the card easy enough...but using him as "clean-up" meant that he was super-mobile.
