Ill put one together. Like I said, it involves patience and timing.

Gotta disagree with your pod statement ibeatdrew...there are lots of Thor
fans who are very excited about this Asgardian set (just check around on
the threads).
Personally this is the set I've been hoping for since 2002, which made the
last year (game in limbo) that much harder.
Very concerned about the quality of the sculpts though.

Nice show guys.
Thor fan? So-so. Comic book wise, I like him much better as a member of the Avengers than as a solo character.
I am more excited about HoT for the Thunderbolts characters! Remakes of Songbird and Moonstone are my major wants from this set and even though I don't like Mac as Venom, I still really want him.
I'll have to look into Skype one of these days since it sounds like Mike had a great time doing the show. Like you though, I also have work (5:30am to 2pm Central Mon - Fri) and a family (wife and boys aged 8, 6, and 4) so I'm not sure when or how long I'd have to do anything...
Good luck with the upcoming move!

enjoyed your show.
I agree it would be nice to get a new starter box with the re-launch
And was good to hear some team building and game strategy this time.
The heroclix soul is back

Glad everyone was liking the show.
By the way played 3 games today. The last of which was a "hurry up we have about 40 minutes to kill" kinda game. So I just ran a team with "Skin" Doom and the Power Pack to save time constructing. The kids got slaughtered at the beginning of the game...but Doom sill reigned supreme! Oh and I faked my friend out with a Moloid. He never saw one before, and I ran him out into the middle of no where, flanking his team. He was like, "What's up with that guy." I was like , "you'll see." So he wasted some time trying to kill him. It was fun.

Speaking of favorite teams, I have a couple of characters that are really my favorites so they end up on just about every team. Usually, this means Green Scar or Zombie Hulk finds a way onto my teams just because I like Hulk so much. But, if it's unrestricted, my Cain Marko LE comes out every single time. This guy once went through an entire 4 player battle royale getting his impervious roll every, single, time. Nobody can harm the Juggernaut!
Anyways, if you ever want to hear it, I could possibly try to get skype set up and go on about some general hilarity that has gone on at the Keep, including Green Scar smash stories and Zombie Spider-Man (M&M) being faaar too nimble then he should with his Super Senses.
I finally got around to listening to this podcast. I definitely felt that talking about teams folks play was more interesting than much of the other podcasts: it was more relatable than tangential discussions about comics, local stores or even "favorite figures".
I also can understand where the appreciation for Power Pack comes from. In my experience:
They force you to play "conservatively", which is generally a higher-percentage tactic.
They are generally very mobile, which can frustrate opponents who try to position carefully (for Outwit, PC, Perplex as wells as ranged/charge attacks)
Their utility is generally the same on all clicks, so unless they are getting KOed they are likely to be doing whatever they need to do on any click.
They are low cost enough to tentpole them with all sorts of effective pieces. I've built a team using SN Experienced Thor as their tentpole, and I used SI Captain Mar-vell as their tentpole in sealed.
There are some subtleties with the various figures, but it's easy to see why they can lead to success.

I sometimes forget to go back and read some old threads. I agree the PowerPack are awesome.
