Blob and Plasticity?

Here's one for some discussion. Wouldn't the Blob be better represented with Plasticity? All its good for is keeping a character from breaking away. And we all know, "When the Blob's gotcha, ya stay got!!"--Classic Spider-man cover.

The only counterarguement I have is, Plasticity also makes it easy to get away, and that's not something the Blob does. (Charge aside, that's a seperate arguement.)
