View Full Version : ROCK WARS 12 (DUETS): Round 2, Match 2

DTM

Okay boys and girls, here we have 64 Classic Duets, from some of our Favorite Musical Acts, which will be pitted against one another, Match by Match, Round by Round, weeding them all out until they get to the FINAL MATCH, which will have our two favorite Duets face against one another to see which one emerges as Grand Champion of our latest Rock Wars!

As always, this TOC should be voted using a very simple criteria, which song do YOU like more, which do YOU feel you would rather listen to, and which would YOU say is ultimately more deserving to move on. Easy. :)

Pretty basic really. Songs are matched up, you all vote on the one you like more, the winner goes to the Next Round, and we do this over and over again until the Rounds are Over. I do ask that you all give objective opinions and votes here, listening to All songs and arguments here within this TOC with an open mind, beginning to end, and base your honest votes from that.

So without further adieu, why dont we get started with the Next of Many matches to come, in HCRs latest Rock Wars, Favorite Duet!

I now give you:

TIME AFTER TIME
(Cyndi Lauper / Sarah Mclachlan) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TiAWJkIQAE)

vs.

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE
(Linda Ronstadt / James Ingram) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wcuZN5PhpQ)

So what say you all. Which of these songs will move onto the Next Round, and which will re-unite just so they can break up again?

Im going with Somewhere Out There, as I didnt overly like this version of Time After Time, and felt Sarahs addition detracted from the original Cyndi track (which I really do like).

Kind of inclined toward DTM's way of thinking. Much as I like Sarah McLachlan, I don't feel she added that much to this song. I mean it's not bad, and I won't be heartbroken if it moves ahead, but the Somewhere Out There duet has a little magic to it.

Somewhere Out There gets my vote.
