View Full Version : Surtur Ragnorak BIBTB fig?
OK, I put this in the "rumors" area because I can't confirm it - but I just had to share it in the hopes of getting confirmation!
I sent a "question to seller" to the guy selling HOT bricks and BIBTB "Surtur Ragnorak" on ebay -
I asked if he was sure that was the BIBTB figure -
His reply:
{Yes,my distributor got the information directly fron NECA}
I've never purchased from him in the past, don't know him, but it seems unlikely a seller would make a claim like that to a potential buyer.
I'm thinking if this is correct info then the Surtur Ragnorak would probably have been a NGN fig - just a guess.
Any thoughts?

I sent an e-mail (probably to the same guy) and got basically the same response. So...that's where we're at, FWIW.
I do find it odd that no one else has this information....of course, that doesn't mean all that much I guess.
Well, this would make sense to me. The pictures of the Surtur figure look quite a bit bigger than your typical giant sculpt, to my eye anyway. Nice find, if it's true!

Appending Ragnarock onto it could mean this is from the Ragnorock story from Simonson's run, where Thor, Loki and Odin teamed up to fight him.
This is the story that the Thor/Loki duo is from, IIRC.

If there was a better picture resolution picture of Surtur than what you can find then we would just have to look at the number on the dial.
If you strain your eyes until they feel like they are going to fall out then you can maybe make out a 61 or 51 or 52. One of those numbers is a possible NGN or BIBTB figure, the others are just SRs.
The figure looks two times the size of Thor, maybe a bit more with the sword.
If it is something that large it would be cool, but now I'm wondering - do they ship them separately to stores based on number of bricks purchased?

However, Thor's Chariot is #61 (as it was the original BIBTB). So the BIBTB is probably #62 or another number in the 60s/90s/100s
