Well I found a point generator. Here goes my attempt at one of the most powerful mutants.

Speed- 9 8 8 7 7 6 5 5
Attack- 12 11 10 10 9 8 8 7
Defense- 17 17 17 16 16 15 14 13
Damage- 4 4 3 3 3 3 2 2
arrows 1
range 10
I know some people are gonna ask why I gave him such a high attack. I gave him the high attack to reflect how easily he can hit opponents with his power (Beit energy attack or a metal object). I didn't do it for him to seem like Bruce Lee (In comics Magneto rarely misses). Telekinesis is almost on the entire dial (He is afterall the master of magnetism). Defensively I gave him invulnerability for the first 2 clicks (To represent his shield, which obviously breaks down after being attacked). After the shield he has an energy shield, to represent evasiveness. I gave him a 10 range, because in the comics he can affect metal objects from close to a mile away (He used his magnetic power on a boat that was more than a mile away). I only gave him 2 clicks of leadership. Magneto really isn't a good leader. People are just afraid of him. I created these stats from info. I found at www.marveldirectory.com
His point total is 167 points (Really 166.914). Not exactly small, but I think alot more realistic of Magneto.

That's a lot more like !!

May be a little higher defense like 18 !! (remember his two or three first fight with the new X-men)

Good job !!

not bad at all, but maybe you could give him Force blast for his last 2,3 clicks (dropping the TK).
because Magneto would never give up even when he was nearly down for the count, he would muster that last ounce of power so he could escape.

Hmmmmm, and maybe 2 or even 3 arrows for his Vet? He has constantly shown he could attack multiple targets at once, and even EMPed the entire Earth one time. Magneto is BIG, one of the most powerful characters (non cosmic) Marvel has.

Now THAT's a nice Magneto! :D

Good work Mongoose, but please consider the suggestions brought up by the others (giving him multiple arrows and possibly force blast).

Well done,
VH

This is a righteous Magneto. Well done.

I wish they had made him exactly like this. Seeing what could have been makes me want to cry.

I'm sure they'll do another magneto that is higher cost...I mean, he's at LEAST half as good as Dr Doom...

Infidel! No one is half as good as Doom! To be half as good as perfection makes you half-perfect, and that's intolerable.

Okay, I'm done. ;)

Given Magnus is my favourite Marvel of all time, that's an excellent write-up for a new 'Unique' Magneto they could add in a later set.

One idea I had for Magneto was for him to start with Force Blast and 18 defense instead of having Invulnerability (Energy Shield instead). That way he's almost impossible to damage at range and anyone that closes with him is going for a ride. (Of course, with this high attack stat he can throw them away with TK instead).

Thanks for the comments guys. Oh and I found the point generator here: http://members.rogers.com/heroclix/hc-6000.html
It is a speadsheet. You simply put in the numbers and it comes up with the point total. Make sure to follow the instructions. Note that i didn't use the fudge factor point total (That was 150).
To address a few points.

Oh I forgot to mention that that last damage column has the outwit ability. That way Magneto can escape, or get his last licks in. I spent some time looking over Mags strength in comics. He really shouldn't fall off too fast. I mean the guy was critically injured by Wolverine, and yet ripped Wolverine's adamantium skeleton out of his body. I'd consider the force blast, but his point total is kinda high as is. I'm not sure how much more force blast would cost.

Was that you character creation generator Manchine? If so, then you are a genius.

No no no. Just the Title here you keep using Character Creation <insert hero/villian name>. :p :p ;) :D

I wish I could take credit for the spread sheet. There is also another spreadsheet program that is much closer to the point costs of characters. Much higher percentage of points matchups.

This Magneto pretty closely represents the Age of Apocalypse model (where he molded surrounding metal into an armor). That would be one cool looking unique!

Actually the non-age of apocalypse Magneto is stronger. You see the Age of Apocalypse Magneto is older then the current comic book version. He wasn't reverted from a child into a young man, as the current Magneto is. I would love to see a Magneto in Dark armor (The black armor he had facing the X-men in Genosha). I figured these stats would represent Magneto in his prime (His power seems to flicker on and off according to the comics).
