Vehicles?

The thread on mounted figures got me thinking - one way they could introduce Ghost Rider's motorcycle into the game would be as a seperate piece that the GR fig could have the option of riding. A generic motorcycle could be done as well, considering how often we see people on them. And they would count as objects, as well - someone could ride in on one, dismount, and then Hulk could use it to hit someone over the head.

But there's a bunch of others in the Marvel universe that could factor in, as well. Unlike DC (where most of the best vehicles aside from the Haunted Tank are Bat-related) the Marvel ones are pretty spread around. We could see:

Avengers Quinjet
Avengers Hoverbike
Pogo Plane
Fantasti-car (bathtub model)
Fantasticar (redesign)
Blackbird
Punisher's Van
etc.

and even things like the Goblin Glider could probably be done this way. Any others people would like to see?

heh, the blackbird would be what ..the size of 1/4th of the map ? :)
I'd love to see Hulk pick it up, say:"Hulk smash!" and take out the whole oposing team with one huge sweep attack (which would be build into the blackbird ofcourse - only useable by chars with SS who could do 4 (maybe 5?) damage already)

I kinda like the idea ..but i don't think it would work on some of the bigger things like the blackbird :)

I like the idea of generic vehicles that can be driven. It would make the viability of the taxi characters not needed. Make a motorcycle a van, some type of flying vehicle maybe a chopper.

That would be great. it would make the ground based team a lot more viable.

In Pre-Crisis continuity I believe Wonder Woman had the invisible jet. Also how about Blue Beetle's Bug and Early Silver Age Green Arrow's Arrow Car ? I also like the idea of some generic vehicles.

When it comes to characters like Ghost Rider, just do like MK does where they have a person on a horse or other creature that takes up two clix bases instead of one.

Heck, perhaps with Ghost Rider, one base could have the life of his bike and the other for Ghosty himself. That way, if you kill of Gohst Rider, his bike could then be used like an object to attack with. And if you destroy the bike first, Ghost Rider would just use his statistics instead of say the advanced speed the bike would have.

while I like the idea behind vehicles in HeroCLix I seriously doubt it will ever happen. the biggest reason being the grid system that is currently used...if they went to inch based similar to mage knight I could see it...but not with squares...

this in turn means I doubt that we will see 'double' sized clix for the biker types. while it would be cool it just isn't necessary in the end.
