Nick fury advise

I won a couple of boosters at my most recent tourney and pulled a nick fury.:D

i was wondering if anyone out there has used him with success and who did you partener him up with? btw i play 300 points tourneys each week.

I have seen him used with Captain America quite effectively, teamed up with a bunch of SHIELD agents. I did beat the team, but it wasn't easy. Especially Nick Fury and his mastermind.

I have a Nick Fury and have found that he is very well rounded and can hold his own in battle. The leadership is great and then comes outwit. I like to use a team that can take down a variety of threats. Use a R/E/V wolverine and some R shield trooper/snipers. Also use some Hydra figs like a V A.I.M Medic.
By boosting your own stats you can take down many hard to hit enemy's.

I would use

Nick Fury 63
R Wolverine 44
2x R SHIELD Sniper 11
2x R SHIELD Trooper 11
V AIM Medic 17
E doombot 33
R AIM Agent 13
E Vulture 20
V Avalanche 32
R Scarlet Witch 29

Total 295

You can sub in other figs that have avengers or brotherhood to get an action advantage.

Actually, both of those teams are kinda weak. You’ve got ELEVEN figs in a 300-point game. Of them, Dr. Notsoevil’s team is the better one. The other team has one taxi for the entire team. You’ll get slaughtered just getting your troops into position. Notsoevil’s team has two taxies, one of whom can use the Brotherhood ability and move for free. On a team with 11 characters, conservation of actions is critical. R Wolverine isn’t too bad, because I suspect he’s there to be a damage sponge for Fury, rather than an actual attacker.

I’d recommend dropping the AIM Agent and using the points for either 1) another Medic or 2) to Upgrade your Snipers to Veteran.

Hrm. You don't really have a big hitter on that team, unless you are relying on Dr. Strange to fill that role. The Doc is more of a 'bard' piece, you know, jack of all trades master of none? Sure he can dish out a hefty 4 damage, but a single click of damage and you are in trouble. Your range of stealth figs will prove difficult to hit without Superman team assistance, but they will also have trouble putting a dent in an Invulnerable fig.

For the sake of character, drop something and add some Shield Agents/Troopers/Snipers, both to Mastermind damage onto from Fury (unless you are using the Doombot for that...?) and to use Shield ability to pump up damage, which you sorely need.

To the question itself... I don't really care for Fury. He doesn't have Mastermind long enough or in a convenient place on the dial. In fact, I find Mastermind to be a waste anywhere but the first slots. Teamed up with two Shield figs, Fury can shoot one target for 4 damage or two targets for 3, which isn't bad. Runnig Shot and Stealth could _really_ do with being reversed though, so he can first run into hindering terrain, and then hide in it with Stealth, outwitting targets a la BP. Oh well.

Yeah i guess that is kinda bad i am sorry about that :(.
