Basic HFL rules:

Each figure, unless they are a generic, can only be played once. So no using multiple Alfreds or anything.

Also, we draft figures at their rookie level unless they've been previously upgraded. If you want to play with upgraded figures, be my guest. I'm sure you'll upgrade some during the season. :)

I'm really not sure what to do at all. You mean you and I draft figures? I'm a complete total new person at this, never done any of it. So you might need to explain um, everything hahaha.

Either point build is fine with me -let's go 300 since that's what we start with.

Ah no, I mean we assume our teams are drafted and we make a 300 point team. :)

Feel free to use subs if you want, even cross universe ones. However, we are restricted by alignment. So if you pick Alfred's Outsiders as your theme? No drafting...Lex Luthor. No drafting say Iron Man either but if you can trade for him, you can use him during the season.

Now granted, I wouldn't get any theme bonus (or steal protection) for drafting this team and I'd have to trade for Spider-Girl but its still HFL legal. Its just not very...viable. :p

I'd just make one out of that team. Who knows whats going to be available next season? Even if some of these aren't available, you can steal them for extra points.

I will point out, however, that Owlman is a villain. Unless I am mistaken, Outsiders Owlman and CSA Owlman are not the same dude so you wouldn't be able to draft him. If you want to use him for our practice match though, go ahead. Or if you wanna come up with a substitute figure for him, that's cool too.

Don't worry about being slow. 'sall part of the learning process. :)

Feats are a regular upgrade. So if you get 10 successful attacks, 5 kos, 10 assists or 10 defends, instead of going from R black lightning to E black lightning (you'll still be able to use the rookie), you can give Black Lightning a feat.

Plus, each team gets a "team feat." For the Secret Society, my feat was Vendetta. The T-Bolts choose the Thunderbolts ata. X-Force had extended range iirc. You'll always have at least that one feat. Feel free to feat up your guys to 300.

Normally, home team (gets 2 HO, picks sides, picks who goes first) is made up at the begining of the season so you have half of your games home, half away. Maps and bfcs are randomized.

I'll just be home team this time and set everything up in a bit.

Ok I clicked the Map Link button. So that updates the map on both of our ends so you can see the setup? Also numbers are as follows.

Oh yea for feats if it was cool I was going to use Camoflage on Metamorph 8 pts and Loner on Creeper 5 points for the remaining 13 points. Let me know if that is cool.

The only thing is that we use @ to represent tokens in the recap and we usually put if a character has an object next to that character too. Other than that, it looks great.

Quick question - how does the LOS tool work on the map? I tried to get it to work and it ended up at the top left of my screen.

You can drag it around by clicking on it. The two arrows change which way it is facing. The numbers change its dimensions.

Pretty ingenious. :)

Actually, Creeper needs clear LoF to an opposing character within 6 spaces to activate Loner.

1) Raptor flies to A7 and tackles Alfred. 9+1= 10 vs 15. Needs a 5. Gets double 5s for 2 damage and knockback off the building for another 2. 1 SA (thats a successful attack ;)), 1 KO Raptor.

Free) Raptor declares the Creeper as her new quarry. Team gets +1 attack when targeting the Creeper.

"Be careful yourself, Brenda! You could have really hurt that guy!"

2) Goblin flies to A12 and throws a pumpkin bomb at Creeper. 9 +1 against Creeper for quarry vs 16 +1 loner = 10 vs 17. Needs a 7, misses with a 5.

You only declare Quarry once per game. Once the quarry is gone you don't declare a new one, it's only done before the beginning of the first turn. You might be thinking of Lobo's special power.

I'll try to take a move in a little bit. Thanks man, sorry about the loner confusion.

Haha.

1 dice, 1 roll per line. 2d6s for attack rolls, 1d6 for things like super senses and blades that require one die.
