We've seen at least 4 mods of the Spirit of Vengeance, including Graf Zemo's. He seems to be really popular in the clix community. Maybe it's his undying thirst for violent vengeance in a modern world where we ourselves are seeking retribution in times such as these.
He's had several comic appearances. The Original Ghost Rider [Johnny Blaze], he 90's Ghost Rider [Dan Ketch], the 2001 limited series [Johnny Blaze again], Ghost Rider 2099, various cross overs and one shots, and a faithful following of The Midnight Suns [Vengeeance, Morbius, Blaze, Darkhold, Strange].
Granted, his 90's incarnation was like a broken record ["Innocent blood has been spilt!" "Vengeance must be served!"]. But I would say he has a very faithful fan following, even up through his Judge Dredd style artwork [with the goofy red jacket and oversized boots], and his overthrow of Blackheart and assuming the mantle of The King of Hell and being reborn as the Angel of Death.
Naurally, this is when the comic ended [though it was my personal favorite, can't wait to mod a Noble Kale clix]. Marvel has a history of having to avoid mentioning religion when it comes to the infernal. They can't stand a non-ravelled storyline, andreturned The King of Hell to his mortal bond with Ketch [Amazing Spider Man, forget which issue]. But he had a cool new bike and his skull glowed red.
Anyone else out there brave enough to declare their fandom of the one true Spirit of Vengeance, The Angel of Death, The King of Hell; Ghost Rider?
