I am sure this has been done elsewhere on the list but I just wanted to see what powers people think the Punisher should have. He should start with either Running Shot or Stealth, Energy Explosion(grenades and such), and Ranged Combat Expert. Towards the end of his dial he should get Close Combat Expert. Stats wise I am not entirely sure. At least a 10 attack. Any other ideas?
Why CCE at the end? Does he lose his gun? 1 click of CCE on 2 damage for sniping would be fine, then 2 damage across the board for up close or shooting his pistol. Then he couldn't be outwitted. I would start him with stealth, to go with RCE. EE, obviously, and an 11 to hit.

CCE so he can work in close more effectively, although I do agree that it might not represent him all too well. Another thing I just thought of is he should have Willpower because the man just does not quit.

For me, he'd start with Running Shot. The Punisher is not subtle. He blows things up with grenades and mortars. He'd call in air strikes if he could. Later, he'd pick up stealth because he can always get away.
Energy Explosion, naturally. 2 damage, 8 range. Outwit. That's pretty much it.

Its too bad you can't give Punisher bother CCE and RCE. I think he deserves them, but based on who in Marvel has CCE He would probably not get it. (That is no one in Marvel has CCE)
Strangely and as overused as Outwit is Punisher could use that too. I'ld say even a click of Toughness (Kelvar Armor), but again they didn't give Captain America any toughness for his chain mail.

Actually, I would expect CCE to be added in Xplosion. In my opinion Daredevil should have it.

I would hope that Daredevil would have CCE in XP. I wish some other guys had it like Captain A, Black Panther, Logan (before he pops the claws) and Elektra.
I hope Iron Fist has it too.
CCE is for guys that have total combat mastery, gals who know where to kick or punch to do extra damage.
Punisher is a martial arts expert many styles, many styles. So CCE is good.
I agree with Willpower too.
I'd think that the Punisher would have willpower for most, if not all, of his dial. As someone mentioned before, he just doesn't quit, and despite the fact that this would keep him from having any other defensive powers, that's no big loss for good ol' Frank. Yeah, you could argue toughness, but I agree, if Cap doesn't get it, neither does Castle. And you could make a case for Energy Shield, maybe, (again due to the kevlar), but it would be a thin case at best.
There's no Speed power that works for him at least in my mind. For Attack, I'd say energy explosion for a couple of clicks, followed by a click or two toward the end of his dial of Smoke cloud (smoke grenades for a quick get-away). That's debatable, but would be cool. As I said above, his Defensive power should be Willpower pretty much exclusively. For damage, I'd say no outwit, except maybe on his last click or two, for the same reason that Spidey gets it--his knack of pulling out a win in the most desperate situations. He might have RCE early on, too, but it might be better if he just had a decent damage and a couple arrows.

I would agree with no toughness. As stated above if certain characters like Captain America and Batman(armor under the suit) don't get it Punisher shouldn't. I was wondering are there any possible uniques for the Punisher?
I'm not saying that it's a GOOD idea, mind you, but the only Punisher-unique I can think of is his "avenging angel" period, in which he had that red sigil burnt into his forehead and went around as the supernatural "Punisher". This was the sad and lame era that came right before Garth Ennis' revamp, but there it is. :)

It might be fun to kill the 'avenging angel' with the real Punisher.
The only reason I can think that WizKids would put out a figure like that is that there wouldn't be much to really change on the sculpt--just paint a little red hoo-ha on his forehead, and there you go. Change the dial a bit, and presto--unique.
Still, the fan response to the original character wasn't great, so they probably won't. Of course, they made Quasar, so who knows? ;)

Another U. Punisher idea is the African-American Punisher. I forget how he did that, but it involved cosmetic surgury and a need to lay low for awhile. He ran into Power Man and they teamed up.

Wasn't the Punisher black once? I seem to re call some kind of Plastic surgery to disguise him. Short lived at best.
What about an arch enemy? Jigsaw? Tombstone?

Definitely Jigsaw. He's Frank's villain in the same way that Bullseye is Daredevil's villain.

You could make a Punisher Unique based on the Punisher Movie the figure would have blonde hair, no Punisher Logo, and zero acting ability, just like Dolph Lundgren.
Yeah, Jigsaw would be great--have they done anything with that character lately? Tombstone would be good, too, and there's some crossover with Spiderman there, as well.

Energy Explosion (grenades, machine gun), RCE (other high caliber weapons) and Willpower (refusing to give up) is how I'd represent Frank. He'd play like a more expensive Bullseye, I guess.

Okay, I am not up on Punisher continuity but I thought the black Punisher was a totally different guy. I thought Frank came back and actually killed him. I was told this by someone else so I wouldn't be surprised if my info is wrong. I have really only read the Garth Ennis stuff. Also a possible unique if they decided to do alternate universe characters would be Frank from "Punisher kills the Marvel Universe." Same as regular Punisher just with a higher attack and outwit all down the dial.

Actually , Kingpin would have been a better AE for Daredevil, and Bullseye and Elektra(he killed her once) should have been AEs
Jigsaw is my vote for AE.

Cap gets toughness on his last clicks, though I don't think The Punisher should have it - Deflection is more likely.
As for him not starting with Stealth and being subtle ... he's incredibly subtle! He stalks his target and waits for the opportunity to strike before calling in the air strike. He should definitely start with Stealth, then head into Running Shot so he can run and gun.
As a last thing, his attack should be high, perhaps 10, but not higher than that. He's good, but he's not Bullseye when it comes to marksmanship. 10 would put him on par with Cap, which is saying something.

Actually, black Punisher was Frank Castle himself. He went trough a plastic surgery that turned his skin color (?), but with time he simply turned back to his old look (??!!).
Even so, I liked the story. I was searching for action, not verossimil , life-like storytelling. Same to say about Face/off and Mission:Impossible 2.

Here's my advice (ability wise) for Punisher. This is for all versions, not just one:
Speed Powers: Running Shot (Run and Gun); Leap/Climb
Attack Powers: B/C/F (Not that bad with a knife!); Incapacitate (Stun Grenade); Energy Explosion (Normal Grenade)
Defense Powers: Toughness
Damage Powers: RCE (Marksmanship); Battle Fury

Actually, I can't stand Punisher as a character! :)
I just think he would be able to do that. And again, this isn't for just one version. This is for the R/E/V/U versions. Mix and Match my friend. Mix and Match!

I think something cool to do would be give Punisher his own team. The ability would be that all the thug, henchmen, and criminal characters would count as arch-enemies. These are the guys Punisher is most concerned with. Also they would have to add mobster generics.

Y'know, given that they used the "younger" look for the Vulture in lieu of his classic look, the Punisher 'clix may, very well BE the Avenging Angel version.
