If you have two characters in close combat can someone else, not in base contact with either charater, TK one away from the other? If they can do you need to roll for a break away since the TK character is not the one who is breaking away from anyone?
Well, hmm...
I might not be able to understand exactly what you are asking.... but...
can someone else, not in base contact with either charater
To be able to TK, the figure with TK must be adjacent to the target.
If it's more like this:
xx1ABxx
Figuer B can TK friendly figure A awai from opposing figure 1. There is no attack roll as both are friendly.
There is no breakaway roll as figure A is not actually using an action to move.

As Tsannik said, you need to be adjacent to TK a figure. So in his example no breakaway roll would be needed (The TK figure is not in b2b and the figure being TK'd isn't using a movement action).
If the TKer *is* in b2b with the enemy figure like this:
XXEFXX
XXXTXX
(where E=enemy, F=friendly, T=TKer)
then we would have to consider the breakaway issue. Now, the PAC states that TK-moving figures uses a close combat action. Not seeing any other rulings (although there may be some I didn't see) I would say that the TKer will *not* have to roll breakaway, since it is not a movement action, and the TK'd figure will not have to breakaway since it is not taking a movement action.

Please verify if I am correct, but the way I understand Tk is that it doesn't b2b with an opponent doesn't matter at all.
Yes, I agree that (in the example provided above) that the TK figure can move the friendly figure away without a breakaway roll.
But, I also thought the arrangement of pieces didn't matter. The TK figure could be b2b with the opponent figure and still move the friendly figure without a breakaway roll.
Or, they both could be b2b with an opponent figure and still no breakaway would be required.
I would very much appreciate a verification (right or wrong).
Thanks!

opps,
I guess I was writting at the same time as Mr. Pilkington, so I didn't see his post.
Or, they both could be b2b with an opponent figure and still no breakaway would be required.
Yeah, if both friendly figure were B2B with an opposing figure, the friednly figure with TK would be able to move the other friendly away without a breakaway roll.... or an 'attack' roll. It's basically automatical..
