View Full Version : You won't believe what I got in this trade.
I actually traded a guy his Ned Leeds for my Rita De Mara. Can you believe someone would actually go for that trade. I probably should have told him Ned Leeds goes for about $70.00 but he is old enough that he should have known. Well I guess I made out like a bandit.

word. I doubt anyone will want to trade with you you advocate your ruthless trading techniques.
Good for you. You got what you wanted. And, I bet he got what he wanted. There are a number of people who DON'T look at eBay prices before making a trade.
Also, Leeds is a relatively useless LE, where Rita actually has some uses... a cheapish Spidey team taxi... I could have a bunch of fun with that....

WEEEEE ya made someone else look foolish. Does this boost your ego? validate your life? improve your social standing? Or do you just like to say " I'm better than you" to others?

They're actually worth about the same amount of money. Both sell for $25-$30 apiece on EBay.
Since Rita is far more usefulthan Ned, I'd say you came out with the poopy end of the stick.

Ned might list for $70 (and going down) But just how much more useful is he really? Not much by the looks of their stats.
As far as usefulness goes it looks like a pretty even trade.
And now that we all can see your attitude towards other people while making trades....
I'd have to say thanks for starting your own personal "Bad Traders" thread :D
"Thank you.... thank you very much..... thank you very, very very very much.... Gawd, what horrible people!"

I am the stupides trader ever, then! I traded a unique for 4 commons...oh lordy me......
Oh, wait, I remember...I had three of that Unique and I was missing those commons....so guess what, it was worth it to me....
And, I traded a lot of Thanos's one on one for other uniques....why? I got about 9 Thanos out the Marvel case I ordered TO ME Thanos was as common as Vulture, and I didn't get one U Wasp or even one blizzard.....
I give away my extras for the most part if someone needs them....
It's all relative. This fellow might have 2 or 3 Leeds back home, then he really doesn't care if it gets him a Rita...
In a trade, one should tell the truth. One should also volunteer any information that would contribute to the fairness of the trade.
...so if I make a point of saying, "Gee, bud... are you sure you want to trade that Bruce Banner LE for my rookie Spider-Man, just because you saw the movie and thought Toby McGuire was God? You do realize that your LE there would go for a blue zillion on Ebay or HCRealms, but my rookie Spidey is worth a couple of bucks, if anything, right? You still wanna do this? You're sure? Well... okay."
Anything else is just wrong... unless you do it to a child. Then it is utterly contemptible. They're TOYS, folks, not gold, not life itself. Nobody NEEDS these things. We WANT them, that's all... and when one allows his petty wants to lead him into cheating the innocent or unwary... then you just ain't much at all, in my book.
Just an opinion... but one strongly held.
...and that's how I do business. NOBODY comes back to ME later on and says, "Hey, you ripped me off!" That's a point of pride with me. I also find it profitable. Anyone who has EVER traded with me will say, "Hey, Doomtoy's a fair dealer, and he'll throw in extras just for the hell of it." Word like that gets around. I usually get treated pretty well in deals, particularly with people I've dealt with before. They'll deal with me before they deal with someone they don't know.
Your reputation and your soul are the only things you really, really own, folks. Don't sell 'em too cheaply, if at all.

Now you tell us Doomtoy.
Stupid Rookie Spiderman. Should have known Satan could have offered me the Experienced for my soul.
Hell, if you'd have held out, he prolly wooda come across with the Unique.
But would it have been worth it?

I once traded IJITs' mom 2 rookie puppetmasters for some pixie sticks, a ten pack of envelopes, and a backyard BJ. Seemed like a good trade at the moment, but man, she aint got no skills.
You don't say...
What did you do when you found out it was really your sister?!?

Nah....just worked out like that a couple of times today. <chuckle>
Did I just get called sick by a guy talking about getting a bj from IJIT's mom?? :p
First of all please leave all info about you and my mom on another thread. It does not concern me, and the last thing I want to hear is what my mom is doing in her spair time.
Anyway, I guess you guys are right, the trade was not quite as good as I thought. Ned Leeds is a do nothing figure. He did have two of them as well. So I guess he just figured he could use it to get something he needed. I suppose later on Rita's value will catch up to the Hobgoblin. Also you are right is very stupid to post about how good you robbed someone. So I deserved all the comments I recieved.
I must say, this board/perhaps this GAME has some of the best people around.....jesting, humility and learning. WOW!
