I was playing Heroclix the one day and I looked at my selection and realized that U HT Batman and R IC Hulk both cost the same amount of points. This got me thinking. Just because they are Heroclix equals doesn’t translate back translate back to comics. I think most of us would agree that Hulk could beat Batman in a fight.

That is the idea for this tournament. Every entry will be close to the same amount of points Heroclix wise, but this will be their comic forms fighting!

Rules:
This will be a standard single elimination tournament with 32 combatants. There will be 2 to a fight. They get no knowledge of each other (unless they have fought in the past). The only thing they get is the Heroclix figure of there enemies and their character cards (if the figure does not have a card, assume there was a custom one made). They will have 5 minutes to prepare. This is a fight to the death or KO, whichever happens first, and they must fight (no waiting for the opponent to die of starvation). They have with them what they normally carry and what there fig has if it is different. (Like how Bullseye doesn’t carry a gun, but he has one on the fig).

Molecule Man - 113 (Avengers)

vs.

Solomon Grundy - 115 (Arkham Asylum)

Terrain:
Plains: Flat and open, there is not much cover in this terrain except for the tall grass and the occasional tree that are few and far between.

Round 1
STRIPE vs. Batman (One Million): Batman leads (5-0)
The Leader vs. Deadman: Deadman leads (5-0)
Wonder Girl (Cassie) vs. Batman: Wonder Girl leads (5-3)
Mastermind vs. Spider-Man (Iron Spider): Spider-Man leads (5-0)
Negative Woman vs. Incredible Hulk: Incredible Hulk leads (5-0)
Star Sapphire vs. Iron Widow: Star Sapphire leads (6-0)
Molecule Man vs. Solomon Grundy: ?????

Winners:

Shrinking Violet (21-30)
X-23 (31-40)
Harbinger (41-50)
Johnny Sorrow (51-55)
Major Disaster (56-60)
Booster Gold (61-65)

(2) Destroy a target square of blocking terrain. (3) Destroy a portion of a target wall bordering a single square. For all options, the target must be 6 or fewer squares from Molecule Man and he must have a clear line of fire to the target.

Whoops! He he, goofed on weight division. Still, Molecule Man for an easy win.

He's a titan of a power house, on par with the Beyonder for raw power.

One of the more underpowered clix (Molecule Man) gets his due here. Just looking at the name of his special power should be enough. Victory goes to Molecule Man.

Even if this is Molecule Man at his earliest and least competent, yea. Easy win. My vote: Molecule Man.

Molecule Man's going to be the one to beat in this round, that's for sure. It can be done, but it'll take something other than raw power, and that's all Grundy's got. Sorry, Solly, but Molecule Man to win this one.

Molecule Man wins easily. Grundy never even gets close enough to do anything.

Molecule Man to advance.

Oh look! We have a new front-runner!

My vote: Molecule Man

Wow, the Molecule Man is in this thing? Yep, another one thats basically a battle for second place, as no one is taking this guy down. Capable of casually restoring galaxies with a wave of his finger, hes going to eat pretty much anyone here alive, including Grundy.

I think this is quite possibly him in his old, Fantasy Four villain, really underused his powers stage.

Nope, as he used a rod back then and I think even had a helmet. This outfit looks just like his Secret Wars duds to me. :)

Molecule Man does have weaknesses though:

- He's hardly willing to use full power.
- He's not exactly a picture of mental health.

I feel like a halfway decent telepath could take him down.

I agree someone like that would have a chance at Owen.

Well, during Secret Wars he really started to get over the whole 'not using his powers' thing.

However, being able to be taken by a mentalist I agree with (all though he was on a much firmer ground by the end of the series).

Um, How is he gonna beat Deadman. That's the front runner to me. Until I see someone that has a way to affect the dead.

Yeah, I'll vote Molecule Man as well. Too much raw power for Grundy to handle.

Yep, and not just raw power, as Owen has learned to control his abilities to have virtual omniscience, especially when hes expecting an attack (which is basically this entire TOC) in addition to being all powerful. Hes alot more than simply a guy who can control molecules, alot more.
