Yeah, only happens every so often - nothin to worry about just wait a while, do something else, and keep checking back - lasts about an hour and a half usually, then everythings fine.

I saw the very same SQL error, although I was able to get to MKRealms about an hour earlier than HCRealms. I'm glad I'm not the only one that had a problem. I thought something was wrong with my ISP.

I also noticed that the HCRealms forums and Wizkids forums were down at exactly the same time. Could one of the moderators tell us what exactly the relationship is between HCRealms and Wizkids? Is this site actually run and funded by Wizkids? If not, why why were the forums down at exactly the same time?

1 hour #### you were lucky, its just come back for me i make it 15 hours for me i went to bed at 1:00 am my time when it went down now its 16:00 and its just back up
Heroclix.com was down earlier too must have been a big project like putting all the pics for explosion on and testing . Of course we wont be able to see the new pics but when the time comes it probably will be seamless no down time at all. i guess then it will be worth it.

WizKids does not fund HCRealms. WizKids does not run HCRealms. From the last time this came up:Originally Posted by Typhon
Well, I guess it's time for one of us to jump in here.. before it becomes a witch hunt. I'll try to address the issues, in no particular order.
MKRealms, HCRealms, MWRealms, & YuGiOhRealms are all Private Sites, owned by RealmWorx, LLC. RealmWorx, LLC is in not owned, operated, or "under the thumb" of WizKids, LLC. We pride ourselves with what we do, and we've done things which WizKids has probably wish we didn't do (Mage Knight "foil" anyone?). Our goal has always been to be the best site possible, and that will always come first.
All the money that members graciously donated towards this site, and/or any of our other sites went to address the need for a dedicated database server. Our previous set-up had the webserver and the database on a single machine, which virtually killed the machine when HeroClix went into full swing, and MechWarrior finally hit the street. The new server fixed the load issue we had before.. so we went back to developing and enhancing the sites. Then YuGiOhRealms finally got noticed, and quickly became the leading Yu-Gi-Oh! site on the internet. I'm sure you're thinking "Great, I donated to fuel the Yu-Gi-Oh! site", but that's not the case. YuGiOhRealms is fully self-sufficient, and pays for its own bandwidth usage, as well as some of the other sites'.
So "what's the problem?". The problem is that our current bandwidth provider has decided to cap our bandwidth to what we originally contracted for, back in December... and we can't afford the price hike they proposed to us. We've decided to go with a another bandwidth provider, that is better able to meet the rapid growth of our network. This move will allow us to run uncapped, which could be a very scarey thing.
As for the Rumors that have been circulating about the WizKid's Forums and our own. Yes, recently WizKids contracted RealmWorx, LLC to host their forums. The traffic generated by the WizKids forum does not compete with the traffic generated by any of the other Realms sites, and does not use any more or less resources. While we are not at liberty to go into the deal with WizKids, let me assure you that your donations are what keeps this site running. We have several sources of income to keep these sites running. For those of you familiar with the YuGiOhRealms.com site, you have seen the addition of advertisers to that site. The other sites are supported, in part, by their members. We hope this helps you understand better what we have accomplished and what each and everyone of you have helped create. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know (webmaster@hcrealms.com).The specifics aren't the same, but the important parts are.

StealthArmour, the man said that:

"Yes, recently WizKids contracted RealmWorx, LLC to host their forums. "

So it makes sense that the forums are either both up or both down. Right?

Yep i guess so
but in theory they could be run off two seperate servers (ie Two seperate computers) so that if one went down the other would stay up

is in not owned, operated, or "under the thumb" of WizKids

The traffic generated by the WizKids forum does not compete with the traffic generated by any of the other Realms sites, and does not use any more or less resources (2 different machines?)

To be honest i really dont care i love this site and the people on it , yes it was annoying that it went down but only because i was in the middle of a trade, any other night i wouldnt of cared.

Personally i think Ultron is running it or maybe the Watcher or The Rand corporation in conjuction with the saucer people supported by the reverse vampires:p
