Which Constrictor dial do YOU feel best replaces the 56-point Veteran from Infinity Challenge? Remember, the rules are that the point cost, team ability, range, and any other dial-top stats and symbols MUST remain the same.

(Note that these dials were designed by members of HCRealms, whose names have been withheld in the interest of a fair vote. The credit for these dials does not necessarily belong to the poster.)

Wizkids made it look like this. Which of the above do you think makes for a fitting replacement?

This poll is a product of the Second Dial Project: Infinity War. Our goal is to have designers here on the Realms submit redesigned dials for all the pieces of Infinity Challenge (okay, maybe not LEs) so that people can switch in new dials and find some new love for their old pieces. This project began after the collapse of Pinata's bid for heroclix, and now with the celebrated return of clix with Hammer of Thor, we're still looking at this project as a fun addition to the game we all love.

Designers create a dial that must adhere to all the information that is already printed on the dial top. That means that point cost, range, flight, etc. are all accounted for. We also strive to keep the same keywords (to avoid additional confusion).

Now, we’ve taken the highest ranked dials based on the Designer Jam Thread found here (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4327836) and present them to you so that the dial we go with represents what you think is most balanced and interesting.

Please vote for each experience level. The polls for R and E are here:
Rookie: http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=262413
Experienced: http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=262508

Also, please leave comments if you think the dial you voted for could still use a final tweak. We want what we create to be directly from the community.

When the project is complete, we hope to see this re-done set included in the Heroclix Online game, as well as having the dials available to be printed and placed inside your old clix.

Will your judge allow these new dials into your regular events? Will WK? We hope so, and the more support we show for the project, the more likely it can be. And your support also means we’ll move on to Hypertime (Second Dial: Multiverse) and see new designs for more of your favorite characters.

If you'd like to get in on the early concept design, check out our current dial critique thread on Cyclops here (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=262566).

I'm loving the special power on dial #2. I would add a bit of damage to those middle clicks (too much 1 damage) and maybe sprinkle in a bit of CCE like in dial #1.

#1 gets my vote. Almost went with #2 but damage is just not high enough. =)

I had to go w/ #2 because on #3, you cannot Flurry/EW, so the points are really invested in this-or-that rather than a potential combo.

'Sides, I really like the SP!

I'm disappointed by the lack of incap or poison on these dials. I went with #1 since the cce seems to be the way they have interpreted his electrified cables with all these designs.

went with #1
i'd have to agree with mr-coffin in regard to the incap/poison... would've like to have seen an incap/poison combo special power to represent the electrified coils.

Wow. Everybody imagines the Constrictor to be a lot tougher than I do.

But if I have to pick, I pick dial 3.

I think mine would look like this:

#ic039 V Constrictor
Team: Sinister Syndicate
Range: 4 :bolt:
Points: 56

Picked 2 because I like the special power. I don't see Constrictor as much of a 'closer', more of a supporting player. Who else likes his recent changes in Initiative?

Dial #2: Coils due to the SP. Needs a little higher damage middle dial.

Really cool sp on #2

#2 gets my vote. The EW could (should?) be switched out for CCE.

Put CCE on clicks 4 and 5 and leave damage on 3 and 6 blank. He's Constrictor, he doesn't need to be good on every click.

#2 is more in-line with the character. He's not Omega Red!

I love that special power

Are we supposed to vote for the dial which is most comic accurate and best represents the character, or the dial that is the sweeeeeetest and would most likely to WHOOP??

I went #3 all the way...come on, it's Constrictor. :tired:

All three of them could have been a little bit stronger. I do like that special power, but I voted for #1 because he's the strongest.

I also like number two, but do not see how it is relevant for the special powers in this case...

"Constrictor may use Incapacitate. When a target is successfully Incapacitated by Constrictor, they may not use Super Senses, Combat Reflexes, or Defend until the beginning of their next turn"

There is not super senses on the dial at all, is there something out there that gives super senses? Combat reflexes is there, so that is not an issue, but then defend I would assume is when another person that has defend is beside them? Was the toughness really supposed to be super sense?
I think honestly the damage was thought out on that piece, it is exploit weakness and that would represent the electrified coils so that really does make sense there.
I would just think about the wording of the special power personally. Nice Job folks!

The Incapped opponent would be unable to use those abilities; not Constrictor.
