Monster Month, week 4: The Justice Zombies of America!

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and all sorts of terrible zombie sloppiness.

Happy Halloween, everybody!

You are one sick puppy...I love 'em. Especially Batman and Hawkman(the Robotman head instead of the the mace is beautiful).

Thanks for the kind words, everybody. Those zombie buggers mark the first new customs I've done in awhile and they were fun to cobble together. Except zombie Wonder Woman's intestinal lasso. That was the opposite of fun.

I love that Batman!

Ha, yeah, he's pretty terrible. Next to zombie Plas he's my favorite, too. The idea of him throwing zombie Robin at opponents...just typing that made me laugh.

My guess is that Robotman's head is still alive and talks to zombie Hawkman--Hawk is saving the yummy brain inside for later. Cliff Steele's noggin is canned goods!

i like that aquaman, even zombified, isn't really super when compared to the others. his powers are now talking to fish and sitting

Aquaman's undead teammates bring him down to the lake when it freezes over and use him as the puck. Zombie hockey FTW!

These are by far your best mods that I can remember. I am a fan of Aquaman who is propping up his torso against Black Manta's head. Also Plastic Man is very nice. Heck all of those little touches you added were great, the arrows, baterangs, and Star Man's staff to name a few were nicely done.

REP!

I'm a huge Black Manta mark, so sneaking him into one of the customs was must. Even if it was just his head.

As for my modding skills, thanks for the compliment. While I've been customizing stuff for years, I've been doing it in a bubble, not really poking around online to see what others were up to.

That changed when I started the 'ToyChop' blog and began interacting with people on the this and other boards instead of just being a thread lurker. Seeing what other customizers were doing--and learning how they did it--made me wrinkle my nose a bit at my own work: how many corners did I cut just to get 'figure X' done in time for a game? These JLA zombies guys mark the first customs I've made in awhile and I took my time with them, applied tricks I picked up from here and other sites and pushed myself to reach a new level. I credit guys like Goldeeh and the work they've posted on this site for upping my game. I'm not comparing myself to them--I still have a ways to go--but they showed me what can be done when you apply yourself and don't settle.

Plus it was fun cutting Robin in half and having Batman wave him around like some horrible trick-or-treat bag, so that helped the process too.
