Where the heck is the new DC?

So now I gotta ask the question . . . where's the new DC expansion already? We'll soon have like 3 Marvel packs to deal with but no DC yet? What's up with that?? I'm actually more of a Marvel fan, but the DC clix do seem more interesting in game play. So Wizkids, if you're listening . . . where's the DC stuff already?

With the announcement of Crimson Skies coming out in May, you have to think that the earliest we could see a DC expansion is now June - that's 9 months since Hypertime came out. And that's just wrong.

Please Wizkids, even if you haven't set a release date, please tell us you are at least still working on a DC expansion! Don't make me post the pineapple...

Toyfair is going on as we speak; I have a suspicion that we'll here some sort of announcement about the next few releases there - they need to get retail support for them, and some sort of amorphous "it's coming out eventually" won't help them at something this big.

Just a point, but in my area I believe DC starters/Booster sold pretty dismally in comparison to Marvel ones. Who knows how it panned out globally, but perhaps sales were at the point where Wizkids decided doing a marvel set would simply be more profitable right now. Or perhaps, as has been suggested in rumors elsewhere DC requires a higher standard of quality in their minis and therefore it takes longer to get such sets approved? Or maybe there is substance to the fact that DC is licenced fewer set than Marvel and Wizkids is spreading them out more.

Who knows, I do sympathize though.

Indy klix comes out late May. So minimium 2 months after that you ger DC.

Manchine, you keep quoting this May release date, but it seems speculative at this point. Since Crimson Skies is coming out in May (and that's confirmed) I don't think we'll see ANY Heroclix launch that month - especially not one that is technically a different game. If Indyclix is first I imagine it will be June. But the timing of the Inquest offer makes me think that DC will be first - though I'll remain agnostic until I see a press release.

Until WizKids announces a release date, it's rumor. The thread Manchine quotes is entirely based on rumor and guesswork.

Some of it is guess work. BUt Indy is due out at the end of MAY. Wizkids wait at least 2 months before another heroi klix is released. So that gives DC July/August.

Has WK announced it was coming out in May? No.
Have they stated DC is coming out AT ALL, much less July/August? No.

Unless you have any evidence to counter the above, then that's how it is.

anyway you spin it, it's still taking DC or Wizkids an awful lot of time to come up with an exapansion. high quality or not, this isn't very good marketing, since they haven't been offering much for DC fans to chew (or be it, nibble) on in the interim. that bites, because while everyone gets all excited about Marvel (note: this is not a bad thing!) DC gets pushed more and more into the backgrond . . . bummer!

I heard that Dc might not do another set, that would really suck. I'm not a huge DC fan but i enjoyed Hyper Time and it was really nice to see more ppl start playing the game. As far as Indy clix i probably will enjoy that immensly seeing as how i am a huge Indy fan. No Evil Ernie tho, i was heartbroken when i heard that he is like one of my top 5 favorite characters in comics, well him and Captain America and the U.S.Agent. May sounds like a good time to realese another set, as far as Crimson skies being released at the same time, thats not a big deal at all, the newest set of MK was released at the same time as Clobberin time.

i may be outta the loop on this, but has anyone heard of a possibility of Image characters (Spawn, Wetworks, WILDCats, GEN13 or the like) showing up?

i'd love to see those guys as clix!
