View Full Version : More Human Than Human?
Hello all. I was looking into making some teams to play where I played characters without powers. I didn't want to include people who use armor like Iron Man or Steel.
There are some characters that are "on the fence" in my eyes. Didn't know if I could get opinions on whether you'd consider these characters to "have powers" or not.
Nick Fury (616)
Iron Fist
Karate Kid
Captain America
US Agent
Deathstroke
Baron Zemo
Ronin-I'd use to represent Clint Barton
Lex Luthor
Dr. Sivana
Blue Beetle (Ted Kord)
Azreal (or as Batman)
Anarky
Scandal Savage
Others on fence likes of Per Degaton and Rip Hunter
Just looking for opinions to help with decision on what you'd consider having powers. Thanks for any help.

Well, if they count as ingesting things to get their powers, that'd eliminate Captain America, Nick Fury, and Icons Lex Luthor (Armor).
Captain America I would consider to have powers. I would take it as people who fight crime without any enhancement other than their own ingenuity and gadgets. Steve Rodgers would just be a skinny little man without the super Soldier juices running through him

US Agent got his abilities (super strength & stamina) from the Power Broker. So he's out too.
Scandal is also the daughter of an immortal so I'm sure there's more to her.
Thought this was a thread about White Zombie...

why no hawkeye/bullseye? being very accurate isn't a power, it's a skill! or mockingbird. OR BATMAN!!!!!

Sorry to mislead. Though that is one of my favorite songs.
Half of the Indyclix set would work for this too.

Because those characters are without a doubt without powers. I was asking for opinions of charracters that are kinda ambiguous whether or not they have a power. Like Nick Fury aging slower or Karate Kid with his Legion flight ring.

Bullseye has adamantium bones in his legs. I don't know if I'd call that a super-power though.

Nick has the super-soldier serum (or something close) in him as well doesn't he?

Green Arrow has no Super Powers.

What about Daredevil? His other senses are just super sensative because he is blind. Not really a power.

Nick Fury (616) Infinty Formula: Not "human"
Iron Fist "The Power of the Iron Fist"...nuff said
Karate Kid Aside from the Flight Ring human through and through
Captain America Super Soldier Serum: Not "human"
US Agent Power Broker given powers...10 ton strength to name one
Deathstroke So not "human"
Lex Luthor If you can find a pure human clix form go for it
Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) Human
Azreal (or as Batman) Too much armor to be "human"
Anarky Werid...but human as far as I know
Scandal Savage Unknown if she has "powers" so I would consider her "human" as seen in her clix form

DD has been shown to have "enhanced" strength...lifting a side of a limo to tip it over for example. Regardless the "radar sense" DQ's him from "human".

Didn't his dad radiate him when he was a kid or something?
Didn't his dad radiate him when he was a kid or something?
Chemicals hit him in the eyes from a truck that swerved to avoid him. It blinded him while enhancing his other senses to superhuman levels.
Not "human"
Lex Luthor If you can find a pure human clix form go for it
Would you consider the JL common? Thanks for all considerations.
Anyone come up with some I'm missing because of their closeness of either having powers or not. I just don't want to put a team up of mostly Bat Allies. Point value not a problem. Just looking for options.

Nick Fury (616): NO. Slower aging isn't really a power.
Iron Fist. YES. His Iron Fist power is pretty darn powerful.
Karate Kid. YES. He can see the flaws in force fields and shatter them due to his super-powerful galactic martial arts skillzorz.
Captain America. YES. The Super Soldier Serum effectively prevents him from tiring at a normal human rate (enabling him to, for example, run at a top sprint for minutes compared to the mere seconds that Olympic athletes can manage).
US Agent: YES. I believe he's actually super-strong.
Deathstroke: TOTALLY YES. He's slightly super-strong, super-fast and has a light healing factor.
Baron Zemo: No, but his latest clix was enhanced by control of the Moonstones that Moonstone derives her powers from. (So that might actually be a yes for the Avengers version.)
Ronin: No for Clint. Yes for Echo.
Lex Luthor: No for the CJ version. Yes for all the others, using megahigh tech as they do.
Dr. Sivana: YES. Megahightech.
Blue Beetle: No. Ted's toys are pretty simple aside from the Bug, which isn't in his clix powers.
Azreal (or as Batman): YES. He has superhuman abilities due to ape DNA.
Anarky: Yes. Boom Tube = megahightech.
Scandal Savage: Yes. Healing factor. (I think.)
