Spidey set LONG overdue

Now that heroclix has been spared there is still hope for a Spider-themed set.......and no, Sinister was NOT a Spidey set (it was a villians set)

I'd definitely be up for seeing a new Spider-Man set. While we have plenty of Spideys, we could definitely use a few more of his villains. Hobgoblin is way overdue for a remake and so is Black Cat. I rather like that list you came up with, except for Kaine of course.

I also would have to say that a set based around one character does not appeal to me as much (batman: alpha), mostly because it DOES focus on Spider-man, and if I am buying boosters, I may buy a few, but I'd prefer to get characters from all over.

But I think that Sinister was a villains set heavily favoring Spider-Man's villains and characters who associate with Spidey.

Not entirely though. I don't need to see Morlun in 'clix, as I hated him in comics. And I do think that Sinister was at least in part a Spidey set. He and his buds/enemies take up at least a third of the set.

Gotta say though, it's nice to see a constructive post from you, qc. I'm right there with you when it comes to wanting more Spidey villains.

God, that would be nice. Spider-man and co. are more or less the only Marvel characters I care about. Needless to say, HoT is pretty lame from my POV.

Your list is ok, but there should be a few more remakes on there. It's Demogoblin, btw, not DemiGoblin. As in "Demon Goblin," not "Half Goblin." I'll ignore the other spelling errors.

If I can pick apart your list, I really don't think we need Jackal (He makes clones. Who cares?), Tinkerer (What would he do?), Prowler (yawn), Shriek (she's hardly been seen since Maximum Carnage), or Will O' The Wisp (meh). And you should be beaten for even suggesting Kaine. But I'm with you on everything else.

I'd also put on some weird ones like Looter (just cuz), Rocket Racer (you know you want one), Big Wheel (poor man's Thor's Chariot), Hypno-Hustler (this one I KNOW you want), and Walrus (he'd be like 10 points :laugh:).

It'd be nice to have a new Black Cat, Lizard, Dr. Octopus, and Hobgoblin too.

Also, I would like to see collectors sets released on a regular basis between set releases. I have bought every single Marvel collector set released. I really enjoy getting these collector sets, as they give you cool themes to play.

I'd like to see a Cap set, he hasn't had one yet. And I would say we are due for another XMen/Mutant set. But I'd rather see a Cap set first. Rest of Serpent Society, esp. Diamondback, Skull team, DMan and other allies too. :)

You do realise that most of the villains in Sinister were spidey villains right? And most of the characters you list for your spidey set are also villains?

That said, I like I lot of your choices a lot. I would go crazy over Stegron and Spot especially. Man they would be cool. Prowler would be nice. Puma and Chameleon are needed to add some more to MODOK's 11 (I need the rest as well).

I like the suggestion of a Spidey and Torch duo as well. I don't usually like duos, but that one would be cool!

Man, so many of Spidey's villains are cool because they were lame. Well, I wouldn't be against a Spidey set, especially if it included a remake of Mysterio with SPs.

I would take the time to object to some of these characters, claiming them to not be important enough to the book to be worthy of a clix in front of others... but then there's a character in Thor who's only appeared in 3 comics, so what do I know?

I would be interested in a spidey theme set. It would probably have alot of remade villains, but i wouldn't have it any other way. (someday, i will attain a Dr. Octapus... someday.)

i NEED a jackel, and he did more than make clones.....he was downright nasty in the arc after gwens death and he introduced the PUNISHER into the marvel universe (well him and the writers)
