Brainiac XIII

Good man, that Brainiac. He's got the stats and the... more stats to take out a small army. My problem is, i cant really seem to find a good team to put him in. I tried my hand at one, though, and here it is.

U Elektra 36
2x R Vulture 15 pts each
R Harley Quinn 27
E Hydra Medic 15
LE Operative 16


300 points.


The strategy is to bring Elektra and bullseye out on to the main portion of the map, (well... not TOO far from brainiac) and have them bug the enemy so that they cant get too close to Brainiac. In the meantime, brainiac uses RCE or mind control to beat the snot out of the opposing force while Harley perplexes him.



Any comments? What id really like is for someone to post their own brainiac team and tell me how its done.

Here was a team with Brainiac 13 that I fielded and won with:

Brainiac 13 - Rookie
Swamp Thing - Veteran
Dove - Experienced
Robin - Veteran
Checkmate Medic - Experienced
Gotham Policeman - Veteran

Comes out to 299 points. B13 basically just sat on the corner of a building smiting anyone that came into range and then Dove would taxi him out when needed. I like Dove because you can push her right off the bat to get her pumped from a nothing to a heavy hitter.

B13's ranged Psychic Blast is great for getting through that character with Toughness. Sure it is only for one at Rookie but still enough to knock Toughness on most dials. And I've been considering toying with the lineup to get either a Exp or Vet version of B13 fielded for the extra clicks of 2 damage.

My opponet's team consisted of:

Arcane - Veteran
Intergang Medic - Veteran
Man-Bat - Experienced
Parasite - Unique
Plastic Man - Rookie

He did not succeed in taking out any of my guys.

Of course now that I've played for a while I think a perplexer in the group with a B13 is a good idea. Like I said, I'll probably toy around with my lineup but B13 will still be the centerpiece.

thanks, lad, but i dont really want to use the rookie version of brainiac, because of his less-than-great range (6) The same goes for the experienced, really. thanks for the input, though.

I used V Doomsday and V Brainiac in a fun game. That was great.

anyone else out there got any braniac tips? id really like to use him.
