Choose the "Official" HCRealms Icons figure (Pick up to 6) Round 1/Part 2

Continuing my game of the past with the next sets that were due to be part of it, I need all willing HCRealms members to vote on who they would pick to be the number one figure in Icons. How do we do this? Pick up to six out of the poll above, and the six winners will go on to later rounds to face other winners. Please feel free to post your reasoning for picking any or all of your choices.

To me, that was the DEFINITIVE batman. Awesome sculpt, great power set, appropriately costed. The only thing better is lampost, but obviously not as many people have those.

I agree. Even today, Icons R/E/V Batman is still playable. I usually field the Experience version for that Scientist keyword, but they're all good.

Aquaman, as this has been the best Aquaman to use for some time. I can't really count the Arthur Curry that was in the Justice League set as the real deal. Maybe B&B will give us the sea king again, and his brother, who has been too long ignored.

Raven, as this is still the Raven of choice. I was kind of wanting to vote for Terra, as she's probably going to be the only version of that Terra that we ever see, but honestly, I have used Raven much more than Terra, and I don't see that changing.

Wonder Woman, as, for the cost, this woman brought the pain, big time. Maybe we had to wait until Arkham Asylum to see her done with some degree of accuracy, but for an economic version, this one did pretty good.

Batman, as this is my favorite version of Batman, in the game, yet. I loved the classic sculpt much better than the starter version. My only complaint was the vet not having the danged team ability.

Superman, as this was the devastating figure to watch for years. My favorite was actually the Rookie, who I didn't see many others using, but he was an awesome use of 195 points.

The Joker, as this was pretty much the basis of the now infamous LAMP teams. The ones that used Viper or Madame Maque were good, but the ones that used this Joker were really scary.

Lol. It's not technically cheating since in the other one you said to use 6, but there were only like 3 good ones, so I just saved my votes and brought them to the better list. If the list was better divided up between characters (Rather than just going in order by set number) than I wouldn't have ended up 3 in one and 8 in another.

I voted Terra. Terra was the only figure that I got from that set as it was the only previously unreleased figure to come out of Icons.

I chose Batman, Aquaman, Superman, Darkside, Lex Luthor, and Ra's al-Ghul.

Lex was my first LE I ever got when I started playing, and good old Aquaman saved my butt more times then not back then =D

Either the one figure who caused a double-rules nerfing or the one who (with his doggy) changed the face of the tournament scene. One or the other. That's Icons in a nutshell. ;)

The RE Batman figures were great additions. I used the E multiple times, as I felt it really captured Batman.

Same for the RE Superman figures. The V was a little over the top, but a meshing of the RE and the V would give something like KC Superman (Unleashed), and be the perfect Superman (well, for me anyways). It was nice to see a powerhouse Superman that played like one.

Also, U Brainiac. Nova Blast was AWESOME to run with him and some TK. Loved the look on my opponents face when I nailed his whole team and utterly demolished him after hearing him say Brainiac was a total point sink. I think I still lost as I couldn't hit his Darkseid after that, but it was a great moment, and that player never had anything bad to say about Brainiac after that.

Funny, I was wondering how Batman beat Joker. Can't ever remember seeing any of the Icons REV Bats on a tournament calibre team, but saw plenty of Jokers in the day.

On the other hand, the Icons Wonder Woman updated the classic Cosmic Justice version while removing the main weak point - Close Combat Expert with Charge. Gaining a straight up +2 damage, making the "loss" of CCE almost a totally moot point. Some attack and movement numbers went down, but in return she got better damage reduction, a bit more Charge, and better mid dial damage. As short & simple renditions go, this is still a high point in Clix playability for the character.

In comparison, what did the Icons REV Bats do? Basically retread the Hypertime versions, right down to having the same "Veteran doesn't have the team ability". Just higher starting attack and defense values in return for a higher cost and loss of some mid dial utility. Yeah, Wonder Woman was just a retread of an established design, but the results were definitely a notch above. The Icons REV Bats weren't jank, but for the most part they made you wonder whether you wanted the cool Icons sculpt and the Incap so badly that you wouldn't play the Legacy Vet.
