actually Jack, I believe you are supposed to roll separately for each monster. Don't have access to the rules right now to prove it though.

Also, if JackA is allowed a second breakaway roll the best way to handle it is probably to let it be for the Wight Brothers since he has already posted his hand.

Just noticed there is a PDF of the rules on www.worldofmunchkin.com:
If you are fleeing from multiple monsters, you roll separately to
escape each one, in any order you choose, and suffer Bad Stuff from
each one that catches you.
So JackA gets another chance to flee the Wight brothers... If he does, he's "just" a level 6.

My apologies to everyone, Quebbster has already highlighted my internet problems. That plus the holidays means this game has kinda taken a back seat.

Level 6: Literary Lass. She may very well talk me to death. My armor doesn't help me. Bad Stuff: Surrounded...by...metaphors...everything...going...black...Lose a level.

I'll kick down a door only to find an Anti Gravity Trap. My boots get stuck on the floor as I'm propeled to the ceiling. Luckily, there was nothing special about my footwear.

I draw a power card, Hypnotism. Basically, when I'm in a fight, I can discard 2 cards and the lowest level player MUST help me if I ask him, but he gets the levels instead of me. I get the treasure. I can't use this if I'm the lowest level player in the game.

I'll put that power card in play, and since I'm a Mutant, draw another face up door. And it is...SUPER MUNCHKIN. But I can't use it right now.

I'll loot the room and end my turn.

That's the problem with virtual hands. :(
When I was away I saved a list of my cards as an unfinished blog entry - it let me watch them whenever I wanted, but no one else could see them. That's a tip if you want to keep track of your cards.

I should point out that I'm probably the best choice of helper as well: KO is level 9, so he's already close enough to winning without getting extra stuff. JackA is level 2, so even if he helps you you do have enough levels to beat the Being.
That said, I am totally willing to negotiate about my reward. My offer is not 'take it or leave it'.

Gas Grenade 100 credits +2 one shot.

Energy Armor...600 credits? +2 Armor

Timewarp 1000 credits. Cancels any one one shot item, including another timewarp. One shot.

Power: Eye Beams! +5 bonus. Rank 3. If I use this power while using Headgear, I roll 1 D6. On a result of 1, I forget about my headgear and destroy it. I discard is after combat.

I'll use the Eye Beams now. Also, I'll draw my extra door, since I'm a Mutant.

Afterward, I'll loot the room. Since I'm 2 cards over the limit, I'll give 2 to whoever the lowest level is (I believe that's JackA).

Just a question for clarification. It says with Mutant that when I draw a face up power, I can immediately draw another door. I've been understanding this to mean that when I draw a face up power, I can draw another face down door to put in my hand, then loot the room. I know its open to interpretation, so I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks.

Time to kick in the door... Ghoulfiends! A level 8 monster that items cannot be used against - I have to fight them only with my level. Two Treasures. Bad Stuff: My level becomes equal to the lowest level of any character in play (i.e. JackA's 2...).
I'm currently tied, which means I need someone's help. I use the Kneepads to convince KO to help me. Together we are at level 17, which means we win by 8 levels.

Turns out the Ghoulfiends are the Last of Their Race! +10 levels, 2 additional treasures for winning.

Now you're losing by 2.

Keep in mind that you probably need to decrease their levels as we cannot use our items in this fight...

Just thought I'd ask. It turns out the Last Ghoulfiends are Out to Lunch - no levels, but I get two treasures. Since KO helped me, I have to draw them face up. It's Mutilate the bodies (go up a level, but can only be played after a combat) and the Rapier of unfairness (+3 one-handed weapon that is Usable by Elf only).
I'll put Mutilate the Bodies in my hand and sell the Rapier (600 gold), the Doppleganger card (300 gold) and the Duct Tape (100 gold) to go up to level 9.

yeah, I totally understand that you decided to interfere.
By the way, I don't think I explained the Ultimate Munchkin Maneuver I was thinking of when we fought the Being of Impure Thought. Simple: throw a Change Sex curse on me. I lose 5 levels for the fight, the Being goes up 5 levels, and I could no longer use the Gentlemen's club. Glad it didn't happen. :)

Guys I've been sick lately, and I know that I've been holding the game up. So if its cool, I'm just gonna take a break for now until I'm better. Skip me or whatever. If its easier to just take me out of the game, that's cool too, but I just don't have the energy to get up and play right now.

No rush on my part, really. We've been going for months already, a few days delay won't matter that much, as long as there is good reason for it.

The problem with Munchkin, IMO, is that the endgame takes forever... you basically need to exhaust all the other players in order to win...
But hey, we'll see how it goes.
