nick furys go for $18 - $25

but wait ! Night crawlers are selling for $50 ??!!??

what happened ? was there a shortage of nightcrawlers ?

are they really that hard to get ?

would you say that Nightcrawler would be the rarest heroclix figure to get NOT counting LEs.

I think nightcrawlers price on ebay reflects his playability in games as well as his popularity in comics.I use him regularly and I have 6 friends who dont play at all but still want to get him because thats who they like.

He's a useful fig. I'm not too sure about his rarity, but look at Bruce banner or Victor Creed. Those uniques sell for over $100.

Also, some of the people that are buying them aren't necessarily gamers. Could be people that just like the figure. In fact, a friend of mine was asking if I had extra Things, Magnetos, etc not because he's going for a collection, but because he thinks they look really cool and are guys he recognizes. He didn't care about rarity levels or anything. All in all, nightcrawler is a great looking figure, good pose and playable to boot.

Let's assume that you weren't a gamer. Who would you pay more for? A Titania or a Nightcrawler? Just on looks alone, that is. :)

well to be quit honest he's the only Unique X-men (barring Phoenix neXt set) and It's the ONLY unique I 'm really looking for.

ALL X-men fans MUST have Nightcrawler !(and V Dr.Doom) So he's really sought after.

He isn't any rarer than others, there are alot around, but he is incredibly popular, so he is in demand.

Nightcrawler appears to be the most valuable fig in the set, followed by Spiral, Super Skrull and Moondragon. The rest of the Uniques are just somewhere after that, with Red Skull probably lowest.

Glad I got him in a booster, for sure...

Its the move-attack-move hypersonic speed ability that makes him so great. He starts with great damage too, and a starting 18 defense with supersenses is hard to hit anyway.

You cant hope to stay based with him, he doesnt need a breakaway roll so he can just leave the based figure, get to another, attack and run away. All this for only 83 points.

Nightcrawler is one of the best strategic pieces in the game.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but I've pulled 9 Vet Dooms... I don't consider him rare!

Now, back to Nightcrawler... I managed to trade for mine. A gentleman that had also pulled four Nightcrawlers traded one to me for an OWAW Superman. I offered more, but he said that was fair in his eyes.

I'm really glad I pulled one from a booster, or I'd still be looking for him. I had enough of a problem working a trade for Fixit.

Anyway, back to the blue fuzzy elf. He's a popular character (one of my longtime faves) in a popular title(x-men). Add to that the fact he is a very useful click and a great sculpt, you get a much sought(sp?) after click.

Well you want to trade/sell VET Dr.Doom because it's also a must-have for me.
Nightcrawler is part of my favourite X-team:

Nightcrawler
Colossus
Wolverine
Cyclops
Shadowcat
Storm
and Rogue

so even If Nightcrawler would have gotten the stats of a Thug I needed him (that he's very playable is just icing on the cake and also makes hi 100% harder too get !:( ).

after that Come all the V version of the figs I want (magneto,Dr.Doom,Rogue,Cyclops) because like V versions are harder to pull/trade/buy then all the uniques in the world.
I play MK too: I can and have ALL the uniques I want, getting the *** Ironclads (Orcs) is MUCH more difficult !

I guess I got really lucky when I pulled him within my first 3 packs that I bought of CT. I didn't think much of it at the time but now since CT's been out a while I still haven't seen many around, and when you do see one it's like you got a frickin gold bar in your box. I only have one and I've been offered some pretty tempting trades, One gut I know offered me a U Vision, Vet Thor, and OWAW Supes. I thought about it for a while but alas I couldn't part with my little blue furry friend. Have any of you been offered some pretty outrageous things for you're nightcrawlers?

My Nightcrawler came in my 5th CT booster and in my fourth came the other unique I wanted Nick Fury, I also got the Red Skull but traded him for Vision. When I pulled Nightcrawler the figure actually drew a crowd (and one cry of its Gleek the wonder monkey).

Off topic is V Hawkeye very common cause Ive pulled 3.
