this isn't so much as a rules question, so I apologize if I'm in the wrong section, but is the 2004 galactus any different from the 2007 other than the paint job? Thanks.

The rules were tweaked: Cosmic Multi-Attack became plain old Multi-Attack (and the new rules do replace the old, so barring wacky scenarios, there is no more Cosmic Multi-Attack).
Otherwise, the only difference was the addition of the Engine dial (for use in the scenario) and the paint job/plastic is a little shinier.

I was under the impression that the original Galactus still follows his original rules, so he is significantly better than the updated version.

You could very well be right.
I know there is a bit in the Player's Guide saying the old Sentinel rules were completely replaced by the Advanced Sentinel rules... I thought there was a similar entry for Galactus/CoG Galactus. I can't seem to find it anywhere, though. Perhaps it was a WK forum rule (that was then lost to the ethers of cyber-space when the forums were shut down)?
Or maybe I am just imagining things :nervous:
Nope...old galactus is still the same as he ever was.

So what was this Comsic Multi-Attack? What made him pretty much invincible?
Since iv heard terrifying stories but don't know his exact rules.

From the Units Section sidebar (the documents sidebar)
Cosmic Multiattack
Give Galactus a power action; it can take three free actions. These free actionscan be close or ranged combat, move, or power actions. This power can beused only once during each of your turns, and it cannot be countered or lost.
