Thanks, man.

no worries - it's what I do. :)
btw, do you have moderator privileges yet? It took me almost two months to get them, but the site crash probably delayed things quite a bit...

How to sue them = get yourself a tenacious lawyer and take'em for all they're worth, the whole big enchilada. That'll show them.

Truth.

I was actually noticeably physically upset over it ending. I loved that show.

I take solace in that it ended so well. One of the best series' finales ever.

Agreed, that whole final season, with all the meta-asides, just awesome. That show was so good, I imagine it just cost ABC too much to make, 'cause I thought it got good ratings.

So true. And even though it had to end that way as it was the most fitting ending, I still find it sad that Alan ended alone. Everyone else was happy and coupled but Alan. Of course, that was what they were going for. Sort of like the ending of Merchant of Venice with Antonio remaining alone. The first thing I thought of when I saw it.

The end of the last episode, Denny was dancing with Schmidt while Alan looked on alone.

Yes, he technically married Denny but you know what I'm saying.

I'm talking about the dancing scene at the end of the wedding that epitomized the family feeling that they had at the office.

Forget it. I know what I'm talking about.

Yes, the end of the wedding, where Alan let Denny dance with the girl he really had a thing for. Because he's a good husband. That scene was nice, but it wasn't how the show ended.

Then, they dance together on the balcony, because they love each other. Neither of them end the show alone.

Your problem, which you're afraid to state, is that neither of them are women, and Denny danced with a woman, so Alan must be left out. And that's just not the case. Shirley is Carl's, Alan is Denny's. Simple as that.

DocDoom187
11/23/2009, 21:22
I understand and I am not afraid to state it. My point was Alan ended without romance, which was appropo to his character.

As many times as women want to take him into an elevator or closet, or have him right on a desk, thanks to his sincere kindness and generosity, I'm pretty sure he'll be fine with that.

Besides, the one time he was married, he said his wife was "perfect for him", which drove him insane.
