changing screen name

I don't see a way for me to do this. I created this logon name when I joined in 2002; before I signed onto other sites and forums. I'd like to have the same screen name (it's available) that I have on all other sites. Can a moderator change this for me? I've seen it done for others on other forums, but don't know if it's an option here.
