Everytime comic fans talk about the movie versions of comic books they always think there could have been a better way to d something or someone who wasn't in the movie who would have been perfect. How would you have changed any comic book movie you've seen? This doesn't mean you don't like them how they were made, it just means you think they could have been done better.

First I'll talk about X-Men. I don't really have problem with the story in X-men but I have a couple with the cast. First they should have gotten a Southern woman (or someone who can do a good accent) to play Rogue, someone good looking would have helped too. And while I think, on their own, Cyclops and Jean Grey were cast very well, when the two are together Famke Janssen looks older then James Marsden (Janssen looks to be in her early/mid 30's while Marsden looks to be in his 20's). One of them should have been re-cast to loo more the age of the other, personally I would have kepted Marsden and cast someone like Ashley Judd (for example) as Jean Grey. Sabretooth was also poorly cast (and writen). He should have been smaller and smarter. Sabretooth isn't this big idiot who just walks around growling. The only other problemI had with X-Men was Mystique killing Wolverines ### (not I'm a crazied wolverine fan who thinks no one should ever kick his ### - I was fine with Sabretooth doing it, I'm fine with Lady Death Strike doing it in X2) but Mystique isn't a good close combat person and has NEVER killed Wolverines ### before. I hated that scene, makings it look like EVERYONE is better then he is.

Obviously opinions vary considering I find Anna Paquin (Rogue) quite attracticve. Remember you are talking about a comic book and the women portrayed in them are so far fetched that CGI would have a hard time recreating the body for one of them.

They need Gambit in the movie. the Rogue/Gambit dynamic is ausome. They need to have that. Moreover his dark past can add another element to the movie.

firsr off..
Rogue: by portraying her as a young woman (and the storyline) the have removed one of her background stories !
Mystique raised her as a mother (in the Brotherhood) and when she stole Ms.Marvels powers and personality she turned to Wheels to get her out of her head.

Famke Janssen too old for Marsden ?
You Dutchhater !:D

Sabretooth could have been done smarter OK.

Mystique killed Wolverine ? wow you must have been watching a different version off the X-men then me !

hmmm,Bobby (Iceman) was 1 of the original X-men why isn't he more involved with the team ?
Pyro in thesame classroom as him ?

Jean-luc Picard as Wheels was great, errrrr I mean Patrick Stewart !;)

"Remember you are talking about a comic book and the women portrayed in them are so far fetched that CGI would have a hard time recreating the body for one of them." - I'm not saying they should have gotten someone to look like excatly like Rogue, but Anna is almost ugly, Rogue is good looking.

"They need Gambit in the movie. the Rogue/Gambit dynamic is ausome. They need to have that. Moreover his dark past can add another element to the movie." - I would have liked to see Gambit too, hes one of my favorites, but I heard they didn't add him to sequal becasue they though his dark past, loner attitude and fighting skills would create "character overlap" with Wolverine and Gambit.

"Famke Janssen too old for Marsden" - Look at them standing together - she looks much older then him (shes probably 5 or 6 years older). Most people I've talked to found it a little hard to believe that they were the same age.

"Mystique killed Wolverine ? wow you must have been watching a different version off the X-men then me" - I didn't mean it literaly. But Mystique did kick Wolverines ### in the movie and theres no way she should have.

I agree Famke is a bit long in the tooth, but she did a good job. can't take these movies too literal next to the comic.Perhaps anyone they chose to play a role will never satisfy everyones perception of that character. But the movie as a whole worked and worked quite well.
