Havent had much luck using Nightcrawler...anyone got any good temas to use him with .

Try using a doombot to taxi him and share the team ability to heal crawler after a push as he is hard to heal. doc ock is good as another attacker and perplex. rookie panther for outwit and exp blackcat for pc. fill in the remaining points with another taxi a medic and some more support fighters.

Rather than using Hypersonic speed to hit your opponent multiple times, make hit and run attacks, moving in, hitting once, and then running away. Possilby plavcing friendly figures to intercept any attempt to get to Nightcralwer on the following turn. Another good tactic would be to put him with a flying phasing character (rookie strange is good), so that he can be taxiied through walls.

exp flash
vet checkmate medic.
pump up the damage, outwit with flash and go!

I've found the greatest success with nightcrawler using him as a clean-up piece. I usually try and get Logan/Hercules/She-Hulk (depending on what team I'm using) to get some big damage down on the enemie, and lower their defense, while Nightcrawler makes hit and run pot shots on people without invulnerable and Toughness (if I haven;t outwitted). Then, when defense is low, Nightcrawler will get taxied, or run in himself and stay, and wipe up whats left, usually 2-4 damage at a time.
Nightcrawler is the best character to use cause other teams can't really defend against him. Start him out making sure he is hidden, keeping him out of line of sight is important. If someone can outwit your Hypersonic speed you are done for. Hit and run all of the long range characters that are RCE. Most of them never have toughness or Invunlnerablity, so you can take them past their first good clicks, the key is to make sure you can get Kurt back to a safe hiding spot for the next run. Keep him near the start of his dial for as long as you can, use other x-men team guys to trade damage with if you have to push him. I like using Rogue(E or V-she get energy steal so it doesn' hurt her as much) or Magneto(E), cause they also have other uses, but a wolfsbane is low on points and needs to get hit once to be really useful anyway. When the battle is almost over, use someone to drop Nightcawler next to a figure whose defense is low and hypersonic him until he is done, with good rolls you can take out almost anyone. They problem after this is that you need to then get Nightcrawler out of there, using a wasp gives you a free ride home. Keep Kurt moving, and always stay hidden. You can't hit what you can't see and Nightcrawler is based on speed, not strength, let Wolvie and the SS guys go toe to toe with people, just hang Nightcralwer back and wait for the openings. The urge is to always charge him out there, patience is always best with him.
When used right there is no way to stop him, his high defense and Super Senses makes him tough to target, but you have to defend him early on. He will be a primary target so do your best to keep him hidden, make sure you can't be hit with running shot, and keep him next to someone who can either get him out of there or make people not want to come there. It's a 400 point team, but can be tweaked to fit smaller teams.
Thor can taxi and fight, so can Moondragon who also has MC and other goodies. Elektra can handle most people up close, and when she gets the first shot on anyone she can at least take them with her. The medic is self explanitory and Magneto can move people, has leadership, trade clixs with Nightcrawler or taxi. This team works because you can't target one guy, you have to worry about all of the members. Just my opinion, but Nightcrawler is the best weapon on the board, just have to think 3 rounds ahead with him.

The rookie is the best buy, in this case. TK the fuzzy elf into the battle, lay the smack down, then run back to Jean. Push if you need to, then trade a click with Jean or another X-Man, if you have them around. Once you've worn down your enemy with NC and your other attackers, send him in for a hypersonic attack to finish them off. Add Harley Quinn or Dr. Octopus for some added punch.
Don't forget to take some range figures, or you'll have some trouble with those snipers on the rooftops.
