Hi ya'll. I know this might have come up before, but I missed it. I looking to buy a case of Xplosion online. What site is the best, meaning they A) don't finger-#### the boosters, thin out the uniques, or even open up the case, B) are pretty reasonable price-wise, and C) if I order it today, it will be here around opening day. I don't want to wait 6 weeks to get my plastic crack! Must feed addiction! Thanks for the input!

no one is going to be able to guaranteeing you getting your case on the same day as the release date due to shipping companies, etc., but one of the most reasonably priced places online to get boosters would be gatheringground.com

I was about to ask the same questions, TW. Thanks for doing the work!

My friends and I've ordered by the case for the HT and CT releases--mostly to guarantee that we'd get Uniques. All places I've known ship them "factory sealed" and it is easy to see when the case arrives whether the original factory seal is intact.
Your price, after shipping, should be in the $200-220 range. Even slightly better if you order a few cases. You should get 8 uniques per case. Usually one of them is a double.
As an aside, WizKids is promising Xplosion to be "tamper proof." This should eliminate the "sneak peek technique" at retail, but I imagine they'll still end up like many boosters I've seen at open retail (not behind a counter): ripped open on the top by idiot collectors.
And there is no way you'll get your case on the day of release. All retailers I've spoken too can't ship the cases until the day of release, which means you have to wait a few days.
Enjoy! Cases are the only way to go.

collectandsave.com - $200 for a case and free shipping. Best I've found anywhere.

I bought my CT case from Allstar Trading Cards in Glenview, Illinois. www.allstartradingcards.com. Ask for Paul. It was $200/case, $8 for UPS. No tax if shipped outside of Illinois. Happy as a clam.
Conversely, stay the F away from (an online retailer* based in) Eugene, Oregon. I cannot stress this enough. I attempted to purchase my CT case from them first, and all I got was a sore poopchute from them bending me over. They sat on my money for a MONTH after I demanded a refund, refused to correspond/answer the phone and I ended up disputing the charge and sicced my credit card company on them... and they did, with extreme prejudice. Hiring the diabled is one thing, hiring congenital idiots is another.
Got my money back but would go out of my way to make sure none of my buddies on this board gives them a nickel. I'm sure at least some of you have done business with them and would swear by them... but I have never dealt with a less-professional establishment in my life.
*I decided to avoid a flame war, in case this particular store is reading this post. Feel free to PM me if you want the name.
(edited; indeed they are in Illinois. I said Milwaukee. Going from memory - BAD. Wish it this easy to correct mistakes after they run in the newspaper! -PH)
I'm with cooljerk. I love the service that www.allstartradingcards.com has given me. They ship the day of release and since I'm in the same state (they are in IL not WI... they happen to be on Milwakee Ave in Glenview, IL :D just north of Chicago), I have my cases the next day. Very fast, very friendly, very reasonable.

ooh. Ozymandas (three posts north) might be on to something.
www.collectandsave.com is based in Lansing, Michigan (my birth city) and offers free shipping on orders over $75. Factor in the lack of sales tax if you're outside of Michigan and they might be getting A LOT of wizkids bizniz.
Wonder if they'll throw in a case of Faygo Redpop? =:^P
--> An aside for anyone wondering if buying a case is the way to go or not: Yes. Definitely, if you're looking to get as many r/e/v as possible, plus uniques, in one fell swoop. You will get doubles, even of uniques... and probably triples plus of some of the lower-end Clix. But if you believe in the Time Equals Money equation, you just saved yourself hours of life and gallons of gas from running about buying boosters from shop to shop. I have a buddy who lives up in Sacramento-area and he's gonna buy off my Xplosion doubles. I'll be able to recoup some cost from the case and he'll be shopping for exactly what he wants. Plus, I was able to make dozens of trades when CT came out, helping out many a collector and myself in the process. You probably won't get each of the uniques in one case, but I got two u doubles and was able to parlay those for two that I needed.
Besides, in a week you won't even miss that $200. Serious.

I have to agree with cooljerk and hair10 about allstartradingcards. I have bought 2 cases from Paul and just paid for my XPlosion case through them. They do not tamper as I have heard other internet companies doing. collectandsave may save me 8 bucks but I've never heard of them and I'm too wary to try for just the little savings. I don't get as fast a service as the others since I live on the West Coast but the extra couple of days is well worth the wait.
Getting a case is the best way to go. I'll still buy a few boosters to support my store but as long as I stay with HeroClix, buying by the case is the surest way to get 90% or more of the set in one shot.

Hey,
I am going to buy my first case starting with Xplosion as I've just bought single boosters(over and over) before. Everyone says it's the best way to go. I have just one naive question: I am just now switching jobs, so money's tight until March 10-15. I can prolly order it then. Will I still get it within a reasonable amount of time after the Release date? Or am I put in a long line for a long wait?
Thanx for any comments and help!

How much does Cardhaus charge? If it's competitive and reasonable, they'd be my first choice! But whether or not I buy from them, I still buy boosters there for sealed tourneys and I doubt I will get the whole set so I'll still need more plastic crack. Can't have too many Iron Men!
