One Time Too Many-- Sequels That Suck (the mafia game)

I just wrapped up Going Back to the Show, which was, I feel, a successful sequel to my first movie game...

And what does Hollywood do when a sequel does well? Another Sequel! And too often, the sequel sucks!

So join me for a mafia game based on sequels to some great movies that just didn't measure up-- or worse, tainted the memory of the original.

I won't start until after Christmas, but sign up now! I promise sentient fire ants, nuclear disarmament of the whole world, plot holes, repeats of ridiculous circumstances, increasingly implausible villains and more!

True story & a Hypothesis of why Sofia's performance suffered in G3: I'd never seen the Godfather trilogy until last year, when we had a marathon weekend. I honestly had never seen it until then, because I didn't need to. The GF has been parodied, quoted, and homaged so many times that I knew most of the famous lines and scenes already, so when I sat down to watch it I really wasn't surprised (though I was entertained) by anything.

When I saw Sofia onscreen, I immediately thought of the lead character of Garden State (JD from Scrubbs) and how his family had him on anti-depressants and it was affecting his acting ability - he was only landing roles as mentally challenged people. I highly suspect that Sofia (Sophia?) was under the effects of strong medication while filming the movie.

In short, I kinda feel bad for her. :ermm: If she was depressed to begin with, the reviews didn't help at all. :disappointed:

It is truth. IMDB says it's so she could be in Edward Scissorhands, but at the time it was somewhat scandalous that she was "exhausted" and drug use was suspected.

I'm in, as long as I won't get role from any of the sequels or "sequels" to the Scary Movie -spoof genre (this includes, but is not limited to movies such as Epic Movie, Date Movie, Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc). Those are so bad that they have actually jumped over the being good again barrier. You know, the part where a movie is so bad that it's actually good again. They're so bad that even Plan 9 from Outerspace starts to look like Ben Hur compared to them. They're so bad that you don't even want them to be the worst movie ever, because you don't want them to get any kind of a cult following or status.

I'll play, but you better not put Predator 2 in there, because:

1) It had quality acting from Danny Glover, Reuben Blades, and Bill Paxton

2) Unlike the plain shoot-em-up that was Predator, it had depth, being a morality tale about humanity

3) Danny actually killed a predator, unlike Arnold, whose Predator actually killed itself
