Thor/Loki* w/ Protected/Monster Hunter/Armor Piercing
Asgardian Warrior x2
Valkyrie (C)

*Thunderbolts to Kabuki for perma-Stealth

Protected's obvious; Monster Hunter against those Giants/Monsters that are plentiful througout HoT and Heroclix; and Armor Piercing to make every last click of damage count, especially when dual-targeting and duo-attacking!

The Warriors will Charge in when they can and the Valkyrie will try to hang back a while for Support until hit onto her RS clicks.

Thoughts?

As much fun as it is to be double-Mystics, I'm not that cheesy. Hell, I think Stealth/Mystics is cheesier

I'm considering running the Thor/Loki piece in a 500 point match. Here's my idea for a theme team:

Thor/Loki -362
+ Thunderbolts - 5
+ Armor Piercing- 10
+ Camouflage- 8

Valkyrie- 38
Valkyrie- 38
Asgardina Warrior- 37

Total: 498

Thor/Loki can T-bolt to Arachnos for double the mystic feedback. Armor Piercing makes each click stick. Camo can help provide cover, especially on a map like the Rainbow Bridge. The Valykies can heal Thor and menace lower point figs, and the Asgardian Warrior can act as bait or just block line of sight from enemies to Thor/Loki.

Good bfc's could be Exhaustion, Ordinary Day, Legendary Day. Any suggestions for this team?

just to point out that there is no Blocking or Walls on the Rainbow Bridge map so Camo is wasted on that map.

camoflauge is a waste i think. cause they can still outwit u. inside info would be devastating with him seeing how everyone is gonna be playing with HoT! and maybe an alias for a double shape change...

I'd T-Bolt Skrull for the extra non-attack possibility.

Oh, I thought that the edge of buildings worked as blocking for the camo feat. Thanks for setting me straight!

Inside Info would be nasty. I can't see Thor/Loki missing many of their Asgardian enemies while sporting that feat. Do y'all think that I'd get more out of dropping camo for protected, or for inside info + alias?

I can't wait to run this piece.

I played Thor/Loki w/Camouflage, Armor Piercing, Thunderbolts, Shellhead, Inside Info and he destroyed. Camo is a HUGE pain for the opposition. Utilize the Running Shot to keep Thor/Loki in shooting range while always stopping by buildings or in hindering (when Thunderbolting Batman TA...cheap, I know). Always pick up a heavy to do 7-8 dmg if someone is foolish enough to get up close. The only thing you have to be REALLY careful of on this fig is the Running Shot & Battle Fury clix. Forces him to not be able to shoot or use Running Shot which hurts him. Guys at my venue and I figure it's to represent Loki stabbing Thor in the back :). Anyway, when I played him, another guy did as well and he didn't do nearly as well because he didn't use the right feats as where I did and Thor/Loki seemed nearly unstoppable.

Shellhead does not work for Thor/Loki. They qualify for the feat, but they lack the :d-normal: symbol for the +2 to defense.

hahaha, jesus you're right. now i feel like a jerk. oh well, it worked for me that night :cheeky: and honestly, it wasn't ever a big factor in whether or not they were hit (shapechange decided that). technically indom. didn't exist back then when Armor Piercing came out and the Prereq's don't include defense symbol. guess i just missed it...

It's ok, you're not the first to make that mistake. There's plenty of folks who still ask about that here on the realms from time to time. If I hadn't see nthe question and Harpua's answer, I never would have even thought twice about it.

Good to know that Thor/Loki doesn't really need the feat. They should be a monster to deal with anyway.

Also Camo does not activate at the edge of a building since it is niether blocking or wall terrain.
As stated above with Shellhead would not work.
The nastiest thing i was with this was a friend T-Bolted to Cross Gen and threw AP and Damage Shield on him. So anyone attacking would take 2 damage at range or 3 from melee. He then also ran a valkyrie so that when he did take damage he ran back to heal up so he could still deal out that damage.

Huh. So it can be used when you're standing next to a wall inside, but not when standing next to the wall of a building because it's technically elevated. Okay. Guess my whole team was garbage. Great. What are you going to tell me next? I can't Wildcard Power Cosmic? Yeah right!

well if you look at the maps every type of terrain has color coding.
From the FF rule book Page 10
• Squares inside the boundary of a green line are hindering terrain.
• Squares inside the boundary of a brown line are blocking terrain.
• Squares inside the boundary of a red line are elevated terrain.
• Squares inside the boundary of a blue line are water terrain.

Heavy black lines running along the grid lines of the map are walls

As you can note only Heavy Black Lines and Brown lines will activate Camo.

Oh, is that what those pretty colors mean on the map?! haha, yeah man, I know that stuff, I (along with every player I played against) let it qualify. Just one of those things I suppose. Its casual play anyway and we play to have fun. In all fairness, the abuse of the feats on my team only mirror Loki's mischievous manners and being the master of lies ;)
