I have an upcoming 400 point tourney and was wondering if this is a good team config or not. The team is:

U batman
V flash
E thor
V doombot
V aim medic

I'm basically wanting to know how everyone thinks it'll do. If I have to modify it I'd like to keep batman just because I've never played him before.Any help is very welcome!

Ok, what ya got the V doombot for? and it's just my opinion, but in a 400 point game, I think you need at lest 7 -8 figs, or you're gonna be sitting around alot waiting for you players to clear, meanwhile your enemy will be out manuvering you. The minions of doom team ability isn't gonna do ya much good, cause unless I am mistaken, the only thing he can copy is the hydra ability, and i can't see where that's really needed on this team.

But what do I know? I'm just a 30 year old geek from missouri

I agree with Random. If you want a 38pt Taxi go with E Booster Gold. The Doombot is getting you a little EE, a little Leadership and copying the Hydra or JLA power. Booster would get you better movement and attack range and still the free move.

I also agree that you probably want more figures. Sure, Batman can push without issue as long as his Willpower isn't outwitted, but you absolutely do not want to push Flash unless you have no other option. This team could do pretty well with Thor carrying Bats and the other taxi ('bot or Booster) carrying Flash, but you will be doing stuff every other turn for the most part. A team of 8 figures could probably hurt you a lot just through more efficient action use. If you want to keep Bats then I'd recommend dropping Thor to get more figures. Someone like Vet Doc Oc to help Perplex Flash up for attacks, or even a rookie Harley Quinn for the same reason. And remember that U Batman does not have the Bat-team ability, so he is able to be taken out at range (especially given his own short range).

He can also copy the jla team ability and I know I should go for more figures and I might but this was just a late night idea.

What about these team configs:

Team 1

U batman
V flash
E steel
LE carter hall
E booster gold
R harley quinn
E hydra medic

Team 2

U batman
V nightwing
V flash
E firelord
E robin
R vulture
R shield medic

Granted I just made these up but please let me know what you think.

The new Team 1 is better than 2 I think, but it is 405 points by the costs in the Warriors section. So that will need to be addressed. You have good mobility and a perplexer for Flash. You might be getting Carter for little use. His charge is best paired with a high damage CC figure. Vet Aquaman is nice, although you end up with a lot of Leadership that you might not need. But getting the points for White-Fish would really mean dropping Steel. Another option might be to drop Carter in favor of upgrading Steel. You lose the free move on Steel and the Leadership on Carter, but Vet Steel is a monster for 4 more points. You could drop Carter down to V Hawkman and getthe points to up Steel. Then taxi Batman with Booster for free, taxi Flash with Hawkman and try for the Charge into a HSS attack combo (with Flash outwitting a defense power befor his hit(s) and hopefully Harley perplexing up Flash's attack value) and use Steel as an all-round clean-up hitter. But that team is *still* 403... 3 points over. I'd really like to be able to drop both harley and the Medic and get a Plastic Man, but the rookie would make the team 401! So close. So keeping the team close to what it is, you could:

U Batman (103)
V Flash (98)
V Steel (74)
V Hawkman (48)
E Booster (38)
R Harley (27)
R Hydra Medic (12)
400pts exactly

or

U Batman (103)
V Flash (98)
E Steel (70)
V Hawkman (48)
E Bootster (38)
R harley (27)
V Hydra Medic (16)
400pts exactly

I'd personally prefer a non-mixed set team (i.e. all DC) and all heros, something like:

U Batman (103)
V Flash (98)
V Steel (74)
E Hawkman (43)
E Booster (38)
E Plastic Man (43)
399 pts

You need to push Plastic Man to get to his Perplex, but he has JLA move with a 10 movement, plus plasticity all the way down, so he could tie up enemies well and perplex up Flash. It is only 6 figures, but I think it is a solid team. Also note that I've never had good luck with nor liked using Medics, so dropping a medic does not make me sad.

If you want to play with Thor:

Thor - Experienced - CT062
Plastic Man - Rookie - HT100
Plastic Man - Rookie - HT100
Doctor Octopus - Veteran - CT078
Harley Quinn - Rookie - HT034
Black Panther - Experienced - IC086
Black Cat - Experienced - CT023
Vulture - Rookie - IC046

This is a friend's crazy idea but it's really cool. The key is to perplex Thor's Damage from a crazy 4 to a ridiculous 8, taxi or runningshot him in and BAM! or to Perplex his movement to 12 then running shot or you get the picture. Other good figures instead of Thor: Mind Controllers (White Queen, Moondragon, Prof X., Nightcrawler: I'll increase his movement to 18 WITH Hypersonic Speed), Ppl with Flurry - Quicksilver, Whirlwind, etc.

Another cool idea:

Intergang Medic - Rookie - HT016
Catwoman - Unique - HT127
White Queen - Experienced - CT080
Black Cat - Experienced - CT023
Black Cat - Experienced - CT023
Black Cat - Experienced - CT023
Black Cat - Experienced - CT023
Black Cat - Experienced - CT023
Wasp - Unique - IC143
Skrull Agent - Rookie - IC019

All the Prob Control will net your two main figures (White Queen and Catwoman) never getting hit. Against 17 defense and with Super Senses, rerolling will kill your opponent. The Black Cats (if adjacent to each other) get outwit and are super maneuverable thanks to free move actions and Leap/Climb. The skrull agent is a fun nuisance. All in all you will be rolling lots of dice. Remember dude, have fun!

I played a 3-way 300pt DC game last night and one team fielded U Batman, E Booster and I think E Flash. It worked pretty well. Flash was a bit underutilized, but he had no perplex to help him.
