Through the undeserved and yet utterly appreciated generosity of Prophus, I now find myself in possession of an unpainted production sample sculpt of Bi-Beast. This is awesomely fantastic of Seth and proof that he was the man who was listening to the fans.
My thoughts on what to do with this lovely prize led me to remember how many talented modders there are floating around the realms, considering my awesome mods of Black Panther enemies and Deadpool supporting characters I've had made. So I started thinking "somebody must know somebody who can do amazingly intricate detail paint work on this sample to give him the best shockin' paint job imaginable." This would, of course, make him essentially a Masterpiece Bi-Beast, which would be f-ing fantastic for me.
So my question is "what sort of interest might there be out there for to do this?" And/or "do you have any recommendations as to who I might commission for such a job and how much the going rate for a kickass paint job would be?"
Thank you, good ladies and gentlemen. Advice will be most welcome.

Seth rocks!!!
That was awesome of him. I'd suggest going through the albums on this site. There are several wonderful modders and they have different styles and different levels of interest in taking on projects.
Find one or two whose work you really like and contact them - this really is a great opportunity for someone. Be prepared to pay or trade well.
And congratulations dude!!!

Go look at Meg's Miniatures. She does some nice work.

Knowing how much you love Bi-Beast I would suggest taking a look at some people like her that do regular miniature commissions for people and manufacturers alike.

You might also want to browse through pictures on http://www.coolminiornot.com/ and see if anyone's work on there you like. A lot of them take commisions and usually says if they do under the picture.
If I had to pick someone from here, I would suggest Goldeeh or Phoenix Force.

But if you didn't have to pick someone from here?

Wow. She's good. Thanks! I'll have to start thinking about how much I'd be willing to shell out for it...

That's a Great Early Christmas Present (if your Jewish, Hanukkah present)...

Congratulations. This is the kind of thing I missed, for a while, wizkids was a really awesome and generous company, I'd heard many stories. But slowly alot of that fell to the wayside, which is tragic, because it's cool stuff like this that goes a long way towards building customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Seth always was cool with the fans.

Wow thats really cool! Makes me think I need to start clamoring for a specific figure and lobby for years until I get one....Just gotta think of one?
Melter? NAH!
Hardball? Maybe.....?
the HOOD! Yeah, thats a possibility! We need a good Vet Hood.
I'm of to lobby and start a thread!

Congrats oh thief-of-poop! Check out Algrim's work, he's an awfully good mini painter too.
There's always Goldeeh or Phoenixforce. I have one of each of their mods. They both do amazing work.

Who sculpted the fig? If it was Misenar or Van Schaik, I think it would be totally awesome if they could paint up that fig for you.

I don't know. How would you find out?

Ah! I just remembered that Ben Misenar (decepticon1313) sculpted the Bi-Beast. He said in the Official "Make a B-Beast In The Next Marvel Set" Thread that he was going for a Jack Kirby feel to the fig.
Woah. Just saw my name mentioned here. Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I wouldn't dare touch something as valuable as that. Kinda scares me.
Besides Phoenix_Force, there's also sdean and Algrim. I don't know if Algrim does commissions, but I read a while back that Hair10 commissioned sdean to paint a masterpiece figure for him (Blue Devil). I also agree with Spike1138's suggestion... it would be cool if decepticon1313 painted it for you, since he made the figure.

Here is another suggestion. Jen Haley is probably one of the best miniature painters around. She paints for a lot of the miniatures companies and has won a lot of awards. Expensive? Yup. Is it worth it? Yup.

I don't know, Goldeeh. I have a Black Lantern Superman that you painted, and have looked at all of your other stuff, and I think that you sell yourself short. You could definitely do it!

the BEST painter out there...well on here anyways is Algrim!!!! he would be your best bet!!! as for how much?? who knows?? different for every person and it also depends on how much of a pain in the back side it would be B^P
Any chance of getting a pic of the pre painted fig? I think a lot of us want to see what it looks like before WK put their horrible paint job on it.

s-dean, a member on here someone else suggested, is a good choice too.

I'd like to see the "before" picture too. Is it a master or just an unpainted production figure?

Just an unpainted production figure. Let me try and see if I can learn how to use my camera well enough to get a clear picture of the thing.

There are many many talented people on this site, but there is a clear winner, and Bi-Beast deserves only the best.
It has to be Phoenix Force.

Iiii dont know... i really think when it comes to painting Algrim is better and phoenix force would be second with prolly goldeeh close behind. but all three are top notch moders/painters... i would ask all 3 of them and see what they say!
