View Full Version : silly noob Q
i've been away from the game for so long...
here's my silly noob Q...can you assign a token via the warbound feat to your friendly adjacent character if he's point value is way higher than half of the point value of the character doing the action?
ex. character A, stupid keyword, warbound feat, 140 pts.
character B, stupid, dumb keywords, warbpund feat, 65 pts.
character A cannot assign a token to character B since 65 is lower than 70 (half of 140), but can character B assign a token to character A?

First up, Warbound description:
Prerequisites: A single, common keyword.
Choose a keyword. All characters on your force that have the keyword are assigned this feat.
When a target friendly character assigned this feat is given an action, instead of giving it an action token, you can give the action token for the action to an adjacent friendly character that has a point value equal to at least half of the target's point value.
*Per character on your force with the chosen keyword.
Neither.
For a 140 pointer, he needs to dish it off to someone at least 70 - 210.
For the 65 pointer, it'd be at least 33 - 98.
At least, that's the way I see it.
so if two characters, the second character has exactly half the point value of the first, have been assigned the warbound feat, can they pass tokens to one another.
i wont be using warbound this way, but i just have to ask if its possible..

I see nothing in the wording that would prevent this (B assigning token to A).
Correct and I see nothing that would limit the upper level of points.
Ie I have my 16 point medic and a 200 point character adjacent and they are both warbound. I see no reason why the Medic couldn't give the 200 point fig the token.

I don't think this works.
Half would work both ways of the spectrum, the basement value and the ceiling value.
A 30 point figure can only dish off to figures between 15 to 45 points, not less, not more.
I'm sure I'll be corrected sooner or later

It says "at least half". 15 is at least half of 30. But 30 is also at least half of 30, 60 is at least half, 1000 is at least half, etc.
There is no upward limit.

I was going to go back and ponder on the "at least" wording.
Yeah, thanks for covering my fool arse again
Too bad Gladiator Hulk himself has nobody to WB off to!

You know you can use the warrior, Brute and Ruler Keywords too not just warbound.
Under Ruler at 121 is Ultimate V Captain Britain, He qualifies I believe.

Right, I rarely use generic Keywords. I was referring to the Warbound itself.
I agree about using the other keywords, though. It just doesn't feel thematic to me.
