Hello fellow clix fans
Who are your top three villains in Heroclix?

Heres my top 3:
1. Thanos- the sculpt is awesome, did I mention hes nearly
unbeatable:)

2. Dr. Doom

3. Parasite- Does he look viscous or what!!!!

Let us Know who your favs are!!!:D

DoctorDoom

My top three choices would be....

1.) Dr. Doom --- the ultimate comic villain

2.) Ultron --- he's a beast that keeps on going

3.) Thanos --- a true threat on the board when played correctly

I would also give Honorable Mention to my ole pal Juggernaut.

First on the list is nightmare. He is actually the reason why I started playing heroclix. That little mini series that he starred in was the best. And the figgure is awsome if used correctly.

Next we have Arcane. He has such a wide range of powers, and all of them arrive at exactly the right time. He is an increadbly cool comic villian as well.

Lastly there is the Joker. My god I always loved the Joker he is hands down my favorite villian. I mean he's killed a Robin which makes him okay in my book. His actual figgure is a blast to play with as well.

My Top 3 Villains are

1). Dr. Doom- He gets almost every power in the game. Especially with the Outwit and Perplex powers.

2). Veteran Sabertooth- Let him take damage and regenerate then use his claws again. He can damage anyone on the board and can take out some characters in one hit.

3). Darkseid- You can't beat all the Outwit, then the ranged combat expert that comes later.

Thanks!

1: Sabertooth
2: Dr.Doom
3: Spiral

Top 3 villians that I play

1) Doc Ock Vet, Use him by far the most.

2) Super Skrull, He is the one I have fun with the most.

3) Mr. Fixit, Not really a good guy not really a bad guy.

Doc Oc (co surprise, here, I rave about this guy all the time)

Doc Doom (In a 400 point battle Vet Doom rules the board)

Vet Sabretooth (I've been on the recieving end of him too many times not to put him on this list. :)

I like to surpise peopple with:

Gorilla Grodd... that psychic blast followed by outwit usually dumbfounds people.
You want people to concentrate their firepower on one fig? dr Doom is tough, so is Brainiac 13,... doomsday will make their eyes get bigger...... but watch them destroy Bane. He is one that definitely gets peoples attention. i don't mention "He who must not be named" because he isn't really good or bad.... he's played both sides.
Number 3.........hmmmm....... Don't have Vet Doc Ock.......Don't have Vet Doc Doom.......I do however have Vet ultron..... but i like Exp Doc Doom better.

Vetran Blastarr - my freinds cringe when I bring him out..
Mojo - IMO one of the best looking figures there is..
The Key - Just another favorive.

T. O. Morrow - He survied two rounds against Doomsday(in a game) and I always enjoyed his charater in the comics.

02/13/2003, 23:21
Dr. Doom - There is none higher. Beware the Docta'.

02/13/2003, 23:55
1. Super-Skrull( Duh, he can bash anyone and can't beat that skrull ability.)

2. Dr.Doom( Pretty Rainbow)
3.V Doct Oct ( same as above.)

The Stinger
02/14/2003, 01:11
1. Thanos. Thanos is a force to be reckoned with. His AV is so high, you rarely miss even the toughest of characters.

2. V Ultron. Triple Target EE with a Shield guy or 2 is killer, but aside from that he has great damage, and it never drops below 2.

3. U Nightmare. Again, Really High AV to start with and 3 damage means early in the game you rarely miss and deal great damage. His AV never drops below 10, and his last 2 clix allow him to steal energy to stay around a little longer.

4. V Doc Ock. Perplex and willpower combined with L/C make him a killer piece. He can basically act as his own taxi because of no pushing damage and L/C.

5. V Juggernaut. He cant be taxied. Thats his only downfall pretty much, that and the fact that he cant throw objects because of the lame battle fury rules. Other than that he is one destructive figure.

Doom, Ultron, and of course Thug.

3. Dr. Octopus veteran: he is so versatile. Plus, willpower rocks.

2. Blastaar veteran: he is not too expensive, and a beast!

1. Magneto veteran: I have had so much success with him he takes the top spot. 19 defense vs. range attacks and four natural damage makes him extremely deadly. People say how he is such a glass jaw character, but if you use him properly he shouldn't even get hurt at all.

For DC, Darkseid. No question.

heroclix villains top 10!

10) Bullseye - he's cheap but effective at what he does

8) Annihilus - used correctly he can dent any good team

7) Bane - 5 clix to start with and he's got that wife-beater shirt on!

6) Doc Ock - try perplex 3 clix and willpower and you'll know what i mean

5) Dr. Doom - doom's the name, doom's the game! perplex and outwit will kill ya on any given day but then throw in his wild card ability and . . . well, you do the logic

4) Sentinel - any way you look at it, being a big figure is intimidating

3) Darkseid - just look into those souless eyes . . . spooky!

2) Thanos - he's thanos! 'nuff said!

I've recently developed a liking for Arcane, myself. As was previously posted...he's got a rainbow dial that seems to kick in at JUST the right moment!

Bane's a beatstick AND playable.

Spiral.

T.O. Morrow is good since he's not always taken seriously...until he whips out RCE or EE on some poor unsuspecting taxi team.

I played him and Vet. Ultron in an 800 point game a week or two ago and he helped to really break down my opponents. Sure I could've used some SHIELD members, but they take actions to enhance, and only in a high point game could you actually get to use a Vet Ultron and Nightmare at the same time.
With my opponents having many figures, Ultron was able to lay anywhere from a guaranteed 2-6 clicks of damage to anywhere from 3-9 figures in one single turn. I can only imagine what it'd been like to have a SHIELD guy or two.
Enhancement is an underrated power, but I think that is because it only comes on a couple figures, one being Nightmare, who's quite costly. When Psylocke comes out, even though she's ugly as sin, you'll see her take place as the next piece everyone has to have on their team, like Exp. Black Cat or Rke. Invisible Girl.
Just my .02

My favorite villain would be Magneto, but they made his a$$ so weak that I almost pulled out all my hair trying to play him. I guess that Thanos would be my favorite (If my fig ever gets delivered :p ). I've heard that Dr. Doom is an army all by himself, but obviously he is expensive.

02/14/2003, 14:20
1.) Dr. Doom, This clix has overcome most of my foes, and it is one of the few clix that actually fits the comic book character.

2.) Mojo, All must obey the fat man, and watch his TV shows.

3.) Magento, Had to put him in for comic book sake, need a new verison of him around 225 points to show he is the greatest mutant of all time.

Personally, I feel the best villians, to play, in no particular order are

Blastaar: Well tough to play against and beat;

Super Skrull: Cool looking figure, one of fav's from CT, with a wide range of abilities;

Enchantress: And being an equal opportunities guy, I thought I choose this lady, enjoying playing her, and another cool figure from CT.

Cheers

I've used him in higher point games.

I had (at the time)

Unique Nightmare
Vet Spider-Man
Vet Doombot
Exp Ultron
Exp Wasp
Exp Black Cat
Exp Annihilus
someone with sinister syndicate, I think exp whirlwind

Couple of other guys. I moved Nightmare up on his own and got into position. I then moved Annihilus up, with a running shot and using sinister syndicate, did 4 points of damage. Next up was Ultron, doing 2 points of energy explosion (annihilus was carrying him). Next up was Wasp moving vet Doombot for some more 2 point energy explosion (of course everyone was attacking with a 13 AV) and finally moved spiderman up there (had another taxi, I'm thinking it was a rookie vulture, but I can't rember) and he also attacked doing 3 points of damage as opposed to incapacitating.

It was downhill after that. :) As far as point total, I think it was like 700-800, but can't remember.

I always seem to come back to Darkseid. I really try to use a multitude of figues, but somehow Darkseid always seem to end up on my teams.

On the Marvel side, I gotta go with Exp or Vet Pyro. He slips under the radar - everyone worries about Bullseye and He Who Shall No Be Named, but Pyro always seems to be there at the end, plinging people with his multiple shots and throwing up the barriers. Blizzard kind of falls into this category too, but I'll pick Pyro because he moves for free.

02/14/2003, 16:26
Now as far as villans goes...

1. Darkseid. Outwit, Mind Control, Psychic Blast, Impervious and 3 damage to boot. :)

2. Annihilus. Running Shot, Minion of Doom, reasonable price, easy to heal up after getting a few hits on him

3. Whirlwind. For the point value, not too bad for flurry and a guaranteed 3 points each (4 points with perplex). Spiral could be substituted here

4. Ultron. Stats stay high throughout dial

5. Doc Ock. Like the perplex, high attack/defense values, ranged attack and willpower. All for 66 points. That and leap/climb to get away to a medic if needed.

Slade Sable
02/14/2003, 18:39
1. Thanos.
2. Darkseid
3. Doomsday.

Gorilla Grodd! I like multi-use figures, and Grodd is a benifit to my team regardless of where he is on the dial. Plus he doesn't see a lot of play, making him stand out, AND he's got a great sculpt.

Runner up is most likely his Marvel conterpart, Controller.

If I really want to win, I play Annihillus, though. And Doom and Darkseid are always fun to play.

If I get a Super Skrull he'll be a definite contender.

JoFo
02/14/2003, 22:00
So... many... good ones!

Super Skrull: He's just a meanie (in HC and comics).

E-V Blastaar: Same reason.

Any Doc Ock: Great character and very useful.

E Klaw aw aw: Pshaw! 4 damage and is a wildcard due to Minions of Doom oom oom! (couldn't resist :))

Those ones stick out in my mind, but there are many more great baddies in HC.

StormMaster
02/14/2003, 22:08
V Magneto hands down.

Darkseid at a close second (only because his clix is a beast, I have no knowledge of the character or DC for that matter ;) )

I also like exp Ultron a lot.

3. Doc Oc Veteren

1. VET Dr. Doom
2. VET Magnito
3. EXP Ultron

Nr.1) Obviously Dr.Doom ! great combination of powers, WK made him the way Doom is !

nr.2) the Green Goblin, when they make him (pineapple) his place is already reserved.
Magneto would've been nr.2 IF WK hadn't messed up!

nr.3) Well, I have to go with V Magneto (he will be replaced by the Unique Magneto when WK comes to it's senses and bring out a REALLY good Magneto instead of this!).

nr.4) E White Queen the Evil version of Wheels.

Nr.5) Sandman, just because he's cool !tough choice between him and the Hulk, but in the end the Hulk didn't get my vote because he's sort off good !
honorable mention: Nightcrawler, yes he's not a villain but any list isn't complete without him !:D

Thanos (the clix) will never be in my villains list because being invulnerable just doesn't count !honestly that's all he does.

1) V Dr. Doom from CT. Still an incredible piece, and one of the few pieces actually worth 200 points. Takes on all comers.

2) Darkseid from Crisis. An incredible piece, and that SP - almost too powerful.

3) Despero. A great piece! Not the best, mind you. I just like the character and this is a great 'clix.

I like to play him on a Space Tyrant team with Darkseid, Mongul, Sinestro, Queen Bee, General Zod, Lobo and Brainiac (if they made a Kanjor Ro, the team would be complete!).

CD Owlman
IC Joker
MM Apocalypse
AW Magneto
AW Crimson Dynamo
AW Titanium Man
SN Thanos
SN Kang
SN Super Skrull

GL tanks, people trying to get Defend bonus, or Enhancement bonus, number of reasons.

Also he didn't say they were all enemies, he could have hit his own guys for 6 so he could get the win.

I imagine him using dual targets with 3 Enhancers to get that 6 damage, before enhancement stopped modifying EE.

No. He said he hit five characters with it, and I assume he meant all at once. In any event, I think an ultron with enhancement and energy explosion calls for a slight adjustment in strategy.

No. He said he hit five characters with it, and I assume he meant all at once. In any event, I think an ultron with enhancement and energy explosion calls for a slight adjustment in strategy.

Thats what I was talking about. =D

During the 1st few sets, and streamlining of powers, Energy Explosion's damage could be modified by Enhancement. With 2 Enhancers and Double/Triple targets, Ultron could destroy a team.

Doing 6 damage to 5 characters in one action is not unheard of.

Backed up with Taxis for his Enhancers and enough TK, he could clamp you at the starting turn. 1st turn immunity wasn't always around.

Also the GL Tank and other strategies might have needed characters to be next to each other so hitting 5 enemies is very believable.

The most logical reason there would be 5 guys al clustered together though, now that I think about it, is if it was a 2v2 or 1v1v1v1 game.

~Phil

Also I went back and looked at Ultron's dials. =D

3. Deathstroke (Crisis) I always loved the character especially after his cameo in 'Identity Crisis'. And the one we got in Crisis is a fantastic piece.

2. Joker (Icons) Again a fantastic piece even without Lockjaw. The character he embodies is flat out psychotic making him a perfect arch fiend to the Bats

1. Darkseid (Crisis) Once again a powerhouse piece. But a smart one none the less. He truly speaks for himself.

Marvel

3. Bullseye (Sinister) A madman. Cares about no one but himself. A threat to anything that breathes, or can't pay his price.

2. The Hood. Why? Well he clearly has made a statement for himself when it comes to crime. I don't think we've seen the end of this mastermind.

1. Dr. Doom. Question him and die! But seriously, he is what all villains desire deep inside.

1. Darkseid: Rules Apokolips with an Iron Fist. Many of his minions are pretty cool too.

2. Doctor Doom: The Latverian King always seems to be wreaking havoc on the FF4.

3. Lex Luthor: Causes all his trouble from right in the middle of good old planet earth. No where to run, no where to hide and he likes it that way.

3. LE Cain Marko from Fantastic Forces, highly destructive piece, and always fun to play the Juggernaut.

2. U Magneto (The chair one) Partially biased cause Magneto is my favorite comics character, but he has always held up really well for me, esp with Fabian Cortez and House of M Mystique (even 300)

1. Danger. I hate and love this piece. I loved reading Astonishing with her in it, I loved pulling the figure, I hate having to play against it. Really handy versus the new Prof X, which my roommate loves playing with.

Honorable Mentions: Omega Red, the Wrecking Crew. The Crew is my favorite 800 point team, but gets put to shame every time.

Dr. Doom is my all-time favourite villain. Always has been, always will be.

In no particular order:
-Doom- the old CT version still holds up plus I think the character is cool
-Deathstroke- I tried the new version in a battle versus every Wolverine in Heroclix and found that he holds his own very well
-Mr. Mind- the little bug is a mind controlling favorite of mine

In no particular order:

Green Goblin (FANTASTIC FORCES) He's a bit expensive and "old style design" but he looks cool and is fun to play.
Doctor Octopus (CLOBBERIN' TIME) The only thing I miss about the old REV system: When they could make three versions of a character that played very differently from one another, but were still good and accurate.
Red Skull (both CLOBBERIN' TIME and AVENGERS versions) Feat cards breathed new life into the old one, and the new one has been fun to play (even if newer SP-heavy characters seem to do what he can do but better).

U Thanos (Supernova): perfect sculpt and powers!
U Apocalypse (Mutations and Monsters): perfect sculpt, and now with the FF rules, Auto Regen will make him super playable
U Terrax the Tamer (Avengers): perfect sculpt, lacking in powers, but still a brilliant improvement over the CM version.
