With everybody making ideas about future figures, I thought of an actual set. Wouldnt a 2099 edition of heroclix be awesome!!! There is enough characters like spiderman, dr. doom, venom, the x-men, who all have 2099 versions. I honestly think they would be great:D

What do you think?
Do you have any ideas for a set, id like to hear em'

Personally I'd rather see an Ultimate expansion then a marvel 2099 one

I personally cant wait for Spiderman 2099.
He'd have Leap Climb, Super Senses, Blades Claws Fangs, Poison and Super Strength, he'd just be very nasty and really worth playing.

yep, i've mentioned this very thing in a couple other threads. I would like to see the 2099 line as well, even if just as uniques. Heck they did that Batman U, wasn't he from the future?

personally i never realy liked the 2099 ones ..but i do like the "next" generation one

spidergirl daughter of spiderman
wolverine and elektra's daughter
J2 son of juggernaught
thunderstrike son of thunderstrike
argo son of hercules
darkdevil (this one was way to wierd in background, but realy cool :) )

We will prolly never see any of them in a set ..but I just like them better then most of the 2099 ones

Really the 2099 things werent very good[ever find it weird that there werent any NEW heroes just different versions of old heroes?] but at least the 2099 Spidey was pretty cool and might merit a shot

The 2099 books were of mixed quality - Spider-Man 2099 was quite good, Doom was good when John Francis Moore wrote it, and excellent when Warren Ellis did. The rest were inconsistent - I never thought Hulk really worked; Ravage when from "fun-goofy" under Stan to "dumb-goofy" after he left; Punisher was Okay, nothing special; X-Men got messy quick. Fantastic Four was great, for the three or so issues it actually lasted, but then Joey Calivieri got fired/promoted and the line collapsed.

Marvel 2099 was the worst line of comics ever. I beg you......never speak of it again. PLEASE!

I thought Marvel 2099 was pretty good, save Venom 2099. I would hate to see an Ultimate HeroClix line. There's really no point. A M2 HeroClix would rule!

As for that Batman, it's from an Elseworlds, I believe. He's donning Kryptonite Gloves.

That Batman is actually from recent comics; technically an elseworld I guess, but I don't think they published it under that banner. Its from the sequel to Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns series from the 80's called "The Dark Knight Strikes Again".

and second: Who is Darkdevil? He sounds schway!

I have to say I liked 2099 too but as far as wose ever Hoff, did you forget about New Universe?

Anyhow, I think a 2099 expansion would be cool as well as an other universe characters like those from eXiles (Mimic from eXiles would be a very cool fig). DC also had a bunch of this kind of stuff, I think they called it elseworld but I remember a kind of reverse Superman (guy who came to Krypton from an exploding earth I think).

Marvel 2099

Doom 2099 (Great character, relatively good storyline, would make a fab clix)

Spidey 2099 - was ok (amazing clix)

They had Hulk 2099 Venom 2099 and FF 2099????

Spidergirl would be nice as a fun clix
J2 might be neat too

Ultimates would have some good possibilities as clix.. Like Cyborg Nick Fury

2099 wasn't a great series but it did create interesting character versions that would make interesting heroclix! i personally would like to see what they would give these characters for clix powers, like spidey 2099!

but if WK does make this set, i think there should also be a counterpart for DC. like characters from the batman beyond series (like the new Justice League) or something like that.

i love pitting marvel and dc characters against each other!

I liked the few instances that we got to see Ironman 2099 in the regular ironman series...

New Universe
DP7 would be cool as would PsiForce, with a unique of psihawk!

oh yeah....

I thought that was actually the 2020 iron man...

Come to think of it - wasn't the 2099 universe free of most heroes because almost all of them mysteriously vanished a hundred years earlier? (sounds suspiciously like onslaught foreshadowing..)

Since Marvel gets to select which figures get made, I seriously doubt we will see much in the way of 2099 or M2 characters. With Marvel no longer publishing these titles (except Spider-Girl, which is hanging on by a thread), there's not much incentive to create them. I highly suspect we'll eventually get a Spider-Man 2099 figure though. He got an action figure just a couple of years ago, and he even reappeared last year in Captain Marvel.

my bad...2020 is correct.

2099 Heroes Vanished...I believe so, but then I wasn;t really big on the 2099 series run. I liked the idea behind the spidergirl and j2 although I never read a single issue behind either one.
