When XPlosion comes out, and this guy's trying to complete his set, he's obviously got a bunch of decent figures to trade with. Bet some of them go away then.

I have maybe 9 Uniques, but then again, I don't WANT all of them. Some of those uniques are bad figures, and some are figs that I would never play for love or money. Helmetless Juggernaut?

although i do agree some uniques aren't worth their cost(nightmare, joker, and parasite for example), unique elektra and juggy are quite power pieces if used correctly. they're just very specialized.

well, that's it, just sharing my opinion. you are of course entitled to yours.

i have 10 or so uniques by the way. and im not much of a collector even. (more of a player, he he)

MarkFinn, what is your reasoning behind not liking the Electra unique. I find her very efficient for the cost. Not wanting to start a fight, just curious. :)

As for unique Juggernaut...well at least he can be carried. ;) (Sorry, that's all I got. He does stink!)

I have all the uniques as well and Elektra has seen the most board time by far. She is a killer.
And why would anyone want double uniques? You can get about five or six (or more) figures to complete a set with those in trade. That's how I've completed my sets. BUT SAVAGE HULK WILL RULE.

Unique Juggernaut can be carried....

Elektra has a monstrous 11 attack with blades claws And stealthed range - sure she's fragile, but those are good combos.

Parasite does kinda suck - but he's not As bad as people think

Unique Joker is a MONSTER. Well worth his points if you back him up properly. Especially since his dial is Suprisingly consistent with High attack ratings even after he gets hit

Oh, no problem. I'll tell you straight up: I'm a comics fan first, and a player second. So most of my decisions in play are based on the comics. Now, Elektra was always a bit player in Daredevil (until she died and was canonized). I just never really liked her, with the exception of the Elektra: Assassin mini-series by Miller and Sienkiewicz (available again in a trade paperback for all of you Elektra fans out there), and all subsequent series involving her have been terrible to not-good. I never really liked her as a character, and I'd never play her in Heroclix. For stealth and BCF, I'd rather do Sabertooth or Wolverine.

As for Juggernaut, once again, since I actually READ the bloody comics, I know that it's his helmet that gives him his powers. Why on EARTH would I want to field that character with his power source taken away? In the comics, he's pretty boring..."NOTHING can stop the JUGGERNAUT!" Well, except for that one time that the X-men did...and then the time after that, and the time after that... Sigh. "So, then, ALMOST NOTHING can stop the JUGGERNAUT!" Only, you know, Spidey did it once, too. Oh, and Alpha Flight (Canadians!). "So, Except for a Few People, NOTH--I'll come back in again."

He's kind of a joke, really.

Hey, don't feel bad. I just went back over the DC Uniques, and they are all pretty much a big bucket of A$$. Plastic died so that the "Back from the Dead" Superman could be made. Talk about an injustice...

well, i agree. juggy ain't great, but not altogether boring.

53 uniques is a bit insane. he must have shook down some kids for those!

and DC batman ain't bad (or am i just sayign that because he's based on the frank miller version, which i love!), not good, but not bad. and so on . . .

the key, whoever he is (obscure), is a decent mind control at his cost, with good defense to boot. and the unique flash looks pretty snazzy (he he.)

I have every unique for all three sets and I have about 14 extras. Most I havent even had an opportunity to play with yet. The ones I do play with tend to be leadership figures such as Fury, Gordon, Wasp, Red Skull etc. Some are just to point expensive. My most recent and prized acquisition was U Flash. He was the toughest for me to get and as such I value having him. - T.

I need 3 from IC (Prof X, Nightmare, and Cyclops), 1 from HT, (Catwoman II) and 5 from CT (Moondragon, Medusa, Nightcrawler....and 2 others)

I have traded for about half the ones I have, and bought 7. The rest came in Boosters. I have pulled Vision twice, SuperSkrull 3 times, and Joker twice.

I have 2 LE's - won Riddler, traded for Nenora.

Although I am primarily a player, I do intend to get at least 1 of each figure eventualy.

While I agree that Jugy is a weak Unique, I think the Electra Unique is actualy the best of the available Electras !

I wonder, in Indy, how many Uniques will we get, and who ???

I have 33 uniques from my own collection, I'm waiting for Super Skrull ( I just keep 1 of each) I also have 10 uniques that are involved in trades and other that I'm selling, also have all LE's from IC and HT for my collection and 8 LE's for trade, so technically (since LE's are considered uniques) I have 44 uniques silver ring, and 43 uniques golden ring.

As for Juggernaut, once again, since I actually READ the bloody comics, I know that it's his helmet that gives him his powers.

Now, it's been a while since I read X-Men, so if Chuck Austen changed something recently I wouldn't know, but...

The helmet is *not* the source of his powers. The Crimson Gem of Cytorrak is.

Juggernaut's helmet is forged out of a material similar to his costume, and it's there to ward off psionic attacks.

After having the X-Men realize one too many times that all they had to do was get the helmet off, he made a second skullcap that he wore under the helmet.

Juggernaut is still plenty powerful without his helmet, even without his costume. For example, he once got into a bar brawl with Colossus while in civilian clothes.

Coming back to Clix -- the reason Juggernaut has Battle Fury is because of that helmet. They applied the game effect of immunity to Mind Control, just like they gave Charge to Blob so he couldn't take knockback. In Juggernaut's case, it screwed him immediately by removing his ability to throw things or be carried, and screws him even worse now because Battle Fury doesn't protect form Psychic Blast, which was kinda the point of the helmet in the first place.

Remove the helmet, you remove his protection from Mind Control, and thus you remove his Battle Fury. With, in game terms, the benefit that Juggernaut can now be carried and can throw things. Depending on your play style, this is plenty of reason to field U Juggernaut.

You know, as hard as it's going to be to collect all of the le's, it could be worse. You MechWarrior completists need to track down the drop ship (not to mention a ton of le's), and I really feel bad for Mage Knight completists, Gilgarsh, Amulet Shards, the Four Horsemen. *shiver*

I've spent *far* too much on this hobby. I have complete sets of IC, HT and CT. I am only missing 2 LEs from IC and 1 LE from HT. So far I still need a lot of CT LEs though (14). So out of 54 LEs I need 17. As for Uniques, have one of each plus around 10 or so duplicates. I use the dupes for trade stock or presents to friends. I buy the most heroclix of all of my friends, so I gave 4 of them Uniques that they wanted for the holidays. One got HT U Com. Gordon, one got HT U Catwoman, one got IC U Wolverine and that last one got CT U Nick Fury. And they were all very happy. :)

I have zero. ZERO!!! The only U I've ever pulled was Nick Fury... on a Mr Fixit base! I have all the R/E/V except a handful. The only U's I want are the ones you can't get a REV version of, and I'm waiting to see if there's a REV Nightcrawler in Xplosion. Wouldn't that just cheese you off?

My roomie got a DC starter that was almost all Vets. From now on, I let him pick out my boxes at the store.

I've found that truly interesting mistake pieces are harder and harder to come by.

I pulled from IC a shield-less Cap, a headless Bullseye (not borken, head was never installed), and a Scarlet Witch with just a base coat (no pink, brown or flesh). But I have yet to pull any other really good ones.

Sure I got the normal amount of one-armed DC figs but that goof was so common I just couldn't get excited about it. I have yet to see a CT mis-fig.

The Fury/Fixit I would definitely send in though for a Fixit, but that's just me.

Other interesting mis-figs I've heard of: Dr Strange w/ no body (cape and head piece only), Bullseye w/ two knives (two left-arms) and TOMorrow beaker craziness (seems that piece generated a lot of goofs but I never saw one.)

Well back in my "wild" days of HeroClix when an entire paycheck was bent on those addicting little things I had accumulated about 21 Unique figures and about 500 nons.

I have since gotten rid of all but 20 figures ... oh God what have I done!?!

Anyway I now have only 4 Uniques and 16 nons.

For those of you who don't have uniqes yet don't get discouraged.... my first one was a helmetless Juggernaut... bleh! And I NEVER got a Thanos or Quasar by pulling them I had to just plain buy them.

I think my ranks will swell once again when X-Plosion hits the shelves...

I had a Unique Cyclops with two right hands. IAlso my first Checkmate Medic was a vet with a rookie Intergang Agent dial. I pulled him and said "Cool, a new medic... wait, he has 3 clicks of life and no support?! In the Vet version?!!". I was confused until I looked at the dial number. :D I got two Annihilus figures with rookie Wasp bases. I asked my comic shop own which issues of Avengers she wore *that* costume in. :D

Uniques 30/34 (plus 3 extras):

IC 10/12 + extra broken Prof. X (I'm missing Wolvie & Thanos - I had Thanos, but a guy offered me 2 uniques for him and greed won out, partly because I seemed to remember seeing a fair number of Thanoses [Thanosi? How do you make that plural?] for trade here and thinking I could replace him fairly easily. Not so far though. The two I got were Mojo & Nick Fury, and within 24 hrs I had dropped Mojo and broken 2 of his legs off:mad: )

HT 10/10 + extra Superman
CT 10/12 + extra Spiral (missing Nightcrawler & Super Skrull)

The uniques I pulled were Quasar, Nightmare, Wasp, Prof X, Darkseid, Desaad, Flash, Joker (x2), The Key (x2), Spiral (x2), Titania, 6-arm Spidey, and Moondragon. The rest I traded to get.

Greed cost me Spiral for a time, too. I went to a local tournament and the guy running it had goofed and gone out of town, so it was a wasted trip. At the next one he gave me a free booster to make up for it. It was my first CT booster and I pulled Spiral. She was one of the few uniques he still needed so he offered me 3 boosters in exchange. When he upped the offer to 4 boosters, I caved, even though I figured it was a mistake (really wanted more CT boosters though). Sure enough, didn't pull a single unique. Was later able to trade for a Spiral though (and just pulled a second one).

r/e/v's missing 1 from HT, 8 maybe from IC, and 2 from CT

LEs 31/54 plus 3 extras (Note: I've been to about 70-80 tournaments to get to here):

IC 14/23 + extra Jean Grey (missing Knuckles, Raksor, Adrian Toomes, Tia Senyaka, Ned Leeds, Philip Masters, Annihilus, Victor Creed, Bruce Banner. I had Raksor, but sold him when offered $15, thinking I had a friend with an extra, or that I could replace him fairly easily, but he didn't and I haven't. Ah, the sad tale of greed once again...)

HT 10/11 + extra Thomas Oscar Morrow, Eddie Nashton and Kirk Langstrom (missing Arthur Curry)

CT 7/20 (easier to list who I have, which is Agent Beaulieu, George Tarleton, Felicia Hardy, Rita DeMara, Fred J. Dukes, Dominic Petros & Clint Barton)

I won all of my LEs, except the 2 mail-aways and Ant-man & Yellowjacket. The way I got most of the Uniques I didn't pull was to trade my extra LEs for them. Might have been cheaper in the long run just to buy the stuff. Ask me how my LE Ted Kord ended up costing me $77!

I recently got U Flash (had to trade away a LE Thing, but I've been after Flash for a long time!) to finish my DC unique set. I also have 2 CT uniques (and most of the non-unique set :-p) and Captain America.

In the way of LEs, I have Blue Beetle, Mad Hatter, TO Morrow, Harley Quinn, Hawkman, Manbat, and mail-in spiderman. (Sold off the Batman, haven't gotten around to getting another...can't use him in tournies anyway)

For extras I have Parasite, LE TO Morrow, and 2 LE Manbats :-p

And last week I traded an extra Nightcrawler for a Thanos, but I haven't received it yet. What do you guys think about that deal? I'm new to the game and just assumed that Thanos was super desirable. Looks like people think he's alright, but underpowered for his character and easy to take out with the right vet.

I really want Vision and Nick Fury, but don't have the right trading fodder at the moment. Do all the uniques have the same level of rarity? Seems like some (Parasite) are far more common than others.

There is only one rarity level for Uniques. That being said, your mileage will still vary. I pulled 5 Black Costume Spiderman figures from IC but never pulled a Quasar. But I talked to people in other areas who hadn't seen a Spidey.

I forgot I have 2 of the alien costume Spider-Man. The bad thing about that was, he was first unique I bought and I bought a booster that day and he was in it. After that I quit buying uniques.

Trade Nightcrawler? What do you have to offer?

Really I'd like to only trade one if I still have 3 of them. I'm not a huge fan of Nightcrawler though. I would have liked him to have phasing down the dial instead of hypersonic speed.

The only thing I'm really looking for is a couple of LE's like Annihilus. I could work a deal for Enchantress and Titana.

I might also trade my Moondragon. I've sold 4 of them on ebay and I really don't like the character.

I am going to share something with everyone that might of already been mentioned before, but here goes. Pulling uniques is extremely, and I mean extremely easy. Next time you go to a large store like Toys R Us, Kaybee, etc. bring a tiny flashlight with you. There are 3 distinct ways for packing unqiues in boosters between the 3 sets. IC=white packaging, 3rd fown from top, ALWAYS. CT=blue packaging, 3rd down from top, ALWAYS. HT=white packaging, bottom piece, ALWAYS. All I do is squeeze the box, shine the light in, "Oh I see a white package, I'll buy this one. And this one. And this one." It is really easy, and I have been seen doing it, but nobody cares, because it is not illegal, as long as you do NOT open the boxes, then you're stuck buying whatever you opened. But as a system for pulling uniques, it has never failed. The only problem I had with it was having 3 Commissioner Gordon's, 3 Medusa's, and quite a few Titania's. But, even if you have all the uniques, getting doubles and trading in for X Plosion boosters or uniques is not bad thing. Sorry this took so long, but I wanted to make sure people knew of "the system."
