Does anyone know the entire Green Lantern oath, ive only find parts of it on-line in certain places, i'm looking for the entire oath, it was said in the superman cartoon show by Kyle Rayner.

In brightest day, in blackest night,
no evil shall escape my sight!
Let those who worship evil's might,
beware my power.. Green Lantern's light!"

blackest I think may have eventually been changed to darkest

Well thats the oath, at least as it was said in the comics.

A character named Kyle (poss. Rayner) showed up the the *Superman* cartoon, with Hal Jordan's origin. John Stewart is the GL featured most often in the Justice League cartoon, however. IIRC, John uses the oath posted above, which is the most common for earth-based (read: Sector 2814-based) GLs.
Other oaths exist, including some from races who can't see color, or have different vulnerabilities (not yellow), or who can't see at all (the power of ... the F-Sharp Bell?).
Kyle in the comics doesn't regularly use on, but his ring is recharged in a slightly different manner than his predecessors, anyway.

Green Lantern/Alan Scott/Sentinel says the following in JSA #9:

"And I shall shed my light
Over dark evil
For the dark things
Cannot stand the light of the Green Lantern."

He says that this was the oath he took when he first became a Green Lantern.

"Ring! Ring! Do Your Thing!"

For a brief period in the 1979-1980 TV season, NBC had a show called "Fred and Barney Meet the Thing." It was a show featuring those great buddies, Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble in some cartoons. Then the other had Ben Grimm, turned into teenager Benjy Grimm, who had two magic rings. When he joined them together and said "Thing Ring, do your Thing!" he turned into the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing.

And you thought there was nothing out there worse than H.E.R.B.I.E.

Also, for those of you who know your Broadway musicals, did you know that Hal Jordan's oath can be sung to the tune of "Hernando's Hideaway" from THE PAJAMA GAME? You have to say "powr" instead of "power" near the end, but it's doable.

Well I was bored so I took the GL oath (the more commonly known more recent Earth one), put it into babelfish, translated from English to Japanese and back into English, and this was the result:

At the brightest day, within the blackest night,
depending upon badness my vision does not escape!
Permit my power namely the light of the lanthanum of green
which the people worships the power of badness, is careful!

Perhaps in space sector 1728 it sounds cool but not here.
