As per Sir Joel's request, this will be our new Philippine Discussion forum. Well, at least until sumobra uli tayo ng posts and it closes again..
But wow, the old Discussion was closed coz marami ng posts...that's something :classic:
Anyway, same rule applies here, continue discussing anything clix related and bawal kabastusan...although as always, hindi naman nasusunod yun :laugh:

Now for those just tuning in, NBperp has been chosen as the big kahuna of Clix rules arbitration. The annoncement found HERE (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=265173).
The Print and Play ruling means (and this is retroactive), all cardboard elements (feats/bfcs/objects/bystanders) can be reproduced (ideally by printing them out) and are considered legal for tournaments/official games. Yeah, for those of us who spent hard earned cash or struggled to win those LE cards its a bit of a drag but now the metagame and playing field has been levelled somewhat. No more whining about the other guy winning because you didn't have the "right card".
A note on Special objects: Although the cardboard ones are reprintable the 3-D ones are not, so no you can't "proxy" a 3-D object. (Although I would allow "Mjolnir" sa ATC) ^_^
Also remember that the 10% rule is still in effect for feats as per nbperp.
By the way, Maps are also under this official ruling so you can now printout those hard to find maps (Supernova, yay!). :cool:
Finally, tarp maps now legit.

ako pabor ako sa print and play...tutal naman hindi naman talaga tayo nagdadala ng feats sa tourney eh...sinasabi lang natin...
kaya may suggestion ako...dapat ipagbawal na sa tourneys yung "ghost feats" para wala nang nag aaway tungkol sa rules ng feats...since legal na ang prints, lahat may access na sa feats...

About Print and Play, dont worry guys..this does not in any way de valuate Cards like Protected and sorts. Talked to some Judges in the states and they're still holding on to their cards no matter what.
This PnP was done by NECA/WK so that the game would be 'newbie friendlier"...to get more guys to play. Its a welcome move and would do great in re building the new clix community it once lost after retiring the game a year ago.
HOT is coming to the Philippines people...and it will be sooner than you think. ;)

yup,last saturday lang dumating galeria but it sold like hotcakes talaga...imagine selling almost 20cases in just 3-4days at 600php a booster :its really something!!! i barely bought a case and plan to buy sana sa glorietta pa and viramall pero ubos na lahat ng bricks and cases!!! panic buying halos all bro...not just heroclix players but from other gamers pa as well and not to mention collectors.
I mean wow!!!, thats really heroclix for you after a long hiatus. NECA could never be happier for buying the franchise from TOPPS and as early as now theyre planning na what next 2 sets shall be produced after Brave and the Bold!!! :classic:
So for those who hasnt had your dose of HOT clix yet...try to look for some and buy it asap, sa galeria i believe 6 na boosters nlang available dun. maybe a few sa greenhills and some sa glorietta this day sa marquee... atc has a few...i hope. Ok.. so naubusan na pala ako. Syempre kailangan ko maka "godpack" at dun lang may Frog of Thunder.... sigh....
Next time na lang I guess.... isang "bibtb" lang nga gusto ko sana.
Bakit bumalik sa lumang (Infinity Challenge) style ng dials sa HoT? Ang hirap mag click. And from the preview of the Brave and the Bold figs, it looks like NECA will keep the dial that way.
oo nga bad trip yung dials, pero madali namang operahan yung figs...tanggalin yung base, tapos kiskisin yung mga umiipit para swabe ang pag-click
well para sakin mas gusto ko ung ganyan na dials..madali kasi i repair pag nasira..at isa pa..mas matibay ung dials na to
IMO HoT dials could've been done better. Like Batman:Alpha man lang. Andaming hindi swak yung numbers sa slot when they lock in place, so most of the time silip mo na yung next slot (especially now since wala na yung L-shaped hole.
Aaanyway in general it's ok. Not bad, not spectacular. But ok.
But enough of that muna. MERRY CHRISTMAS! A year ago clix was dead and now it's back and we're all looking forward to a good clix year. See ya!

agree ako kay KC, yung SR ko inoperahan ko din kasi sobrang hirap i-click...kesa naman mabali yung figure edi inayos ko na...tsaka may "handle" naman yung dial kaya possible maclick lahat ng figs kahit alanganin yung sculpt (SR HELA)...hindi kagaya sa SINISTER na walang plato (jessica jones).

Walls are not found sa pure Outdoor maps so that is a very dangerous place to deal with CAP. Imagine mo nlang pag nasa Avengers map ka and the guy can hide sa other side without you getting a bead on him coz hes well hidden...so goes sa SI map.
However, you can find walls sa Indoor maps (I think nasa page 12 yung definition ng walls sabi ng isang player sa FF Starter Rulebook) like sinister and combo maps like CD and AW. :classic:

I hope not , i finally found a CAp na ala OOTS tapos bka ma Faqd pa wag naman :p...Nway, di naman gano nakakatakot to kse 10 attack and 8 range lang ni CAp (unless lagyan mo ng Contingency plan :cheeky:) and i believe the hindering effect defense bonus pag nakatuntong ka will still be in effect. Of course theres always the hss style of attacking him and he's only 6 clicks of life so tapos siya sa isang malupit na banat unless may protected. ;)
But I believe mas broken si Nico Minoru...imagine all possible standard powers in both your turns in a fig worth 80 plus points lang... Wow!!!:devious:
If they could put figs like these sa HOT, what more will they put up pagdating sa Brave and the Bold!!!..alam naman nating hindi nagpapatalo and DC diba? ;)

I asked Harpua re: the proper usage of Nico Minoru's staff of one. It's a good thing you brought it up. According to Harpua Staff of one can only be used during the controlling player's turn and not during each other players turn. It's good to know while it's still early, just imagine the mayhem that could've come from this. Good thing you have an eye for these things.;)
Hehe nakakahilo na having more than one game.:p
Oh and on other matters, The Brave and the Bold is apparently slated to be released on March 31, 2010. (for those who don't know yet.):grin: (C'mon gimme more Lanterns....:cheeky:)

Come to think of it the wording of her power is simple enough. But it's not because you give her a free action. I.E. Probability control is a free action that can be used during your opponents turn. It's how Staff of one was worded.
STAFF OF ONE: Once during each of your turns, you may give Nico Minoru a free action and choose a standard power you didn't choose during your last turn. Nico can use that power until the beginning of you next turn.
I can't believe that I missed that. I used to be good at these things...Anyway Staff of one is still a broken power regardless.:laugh: (ganun dapat power ng GL at dapat walang turn restriction bwahahahaha)

Yep...abusive si cap pero marami naman paraan para ma-neutralize sya...dikitan mo ng venom is one. and besides napakaraming figure na mas abusive kesa sa kanya na mas mababa pa points!
I think ginagawa nilang broken mga popular characters para mag karon ng good exposure yung game, para hindi lang comic fans yung gumagamit sa kanila,pati competitive cheesewizes din. We all know Superman (E2 or KC) is broken,SI Spider-man is broken,OOTS Batman is broken, ironman and GL are so good,SI Namor, Dr. Strange and now pati si Cap broken din. I think ginawa nila to para pag may nanonood ng tournaments, may popular characters na marerecognize yung audience (or mga batang napadaan) and makapag-generate ng interest sa game. It's a good marketing strategy!
...unlike pag nakita mo sa table ay sila firelord, or gamora...or karnilla or penance...i mean pag bago ka, iisipin mo "sinu ung mga yun?" then alis ka na kasi hindi mo marecognize.

haha actually I mentioned this before already but didn't have the source to back it up.
As a courtesy from now on, if you are using Dr. Strange + BT name your target then roll quickly. Your opponent should be focused on keeping track also to avoid confusion. This is to save time and avoid the problem of stalling :P
Also I found this cool scenario Samurai-style from adamkomar.
Scenario: Honorbound
Build Total: Any.

* Draw your sword: Each character on your force must have Blades/Claws/Fangs or a Special Power that grants use of it somewhere on his/her dial.

It should very well be the case for colossals. If they change the mechanics we'd end up seeing more of them in games. Ah hans, can you check the mechanics regarding feats for colossals. The only one I've found states that they can't use feats when using multi-attack...

Anyway, guys, I have some news to break...in a few days or hours from now the System as we know it will be converted to something like the Sales or Trading Forum. Bits and pieces of discussions lang that makes things specific. I encouraged Typhoon to post this but in case he doesnt im giving the heads up to you anyway that there will be "major" Changes in this realms. LEts just see how we adapt to this guys...it cannot be helped coz the system cant take it daw. Thanks for the support. Ill let Typhoon discuss this further if he wants to..but will do so if he cant. The Brave and the Bold:Give Th Flash and Green Lantern a power action. They can use Telekinesis twice as a free action.
That isn't half bad. TK two figures in just one action.:p (sigh if only no TK after TK didn't exist:rolleyes:)
So they can use also use HSS, but at the same time they have the boot speed symbol. I'm not liking that at all.:ermm:
IMO medyo situational yung white power ni Flash/GL. 200 points for a TK piece is kinda steep. Getting two TK'ers is still cheaper.
Haha I just remembered the 200 point Sinestro can do the double TK as well. :-)

The powers still look 'meh' for the points. Brainiac's Shrink ray is an oddity, reducing speed and damage but raising defense? Accurate, maybe but the reason you want to use incap is so the target becomes a punching bag. This effect simply delays enemy attacks at best i.e.Superman will still whup ur tookas for 5 with a heavy object, Vril.
As for "2-man justice league", why is it only damage powers?? Couldn't it have at least been damage and attack?? Outwit and Perplex is pretty much a given, Prob at the second, CCE/RCE only good for coup de gras, Exploit/Shapechange/Support/Enhacement bringing up the rear due to the highly situational value. That's more than 60% of powers you'll rarely use. Not cost effective.
Again, unless these figs have speeds of 10+, attacks 11+, defenses 18+ and damage 4+ to justify their point costs, I remain unimpressed

Why only damage powers? Because if it was anything like Nico Minoru's staff of one then they'd be more expensive.:p
As it is for 200 points and one TA it doesn't seem appropriate. But you know even using any of the damage powers would come in handy. I'll wait until I see the actual dial before anything. You have to admit though, the Special Powers are getting more interesting to say the least.;)

WizKids Product Development Manager Drew Nolosco here with some news on the new DC HeroClix Starter Game coming out on May 12th, 2010. Every starter includes new figures (this starter’s figures are unbelievably good looking), new accessories, and a new rulebook. The 2010 HeroClix rulebook includes a number of improvements which I wanted to share with you.
When the HeroClix rules team – Norm Barth (Rules Arbitrator), Eric Engelhard (R&D), Drew Nolosco and Will Price (both from Product Development) – started discussing the new rulebook, we quickly agreed upon this philosophy:
HeroClix is more fun when a game’s outcome is decided by players’ choices, plus the random excitement of die rolls. HeroClix is less fun when a game’s outcome is decided due to a player forgetting a key piece of information during the game or suffering from rules confusion.
Guided by this philosophy, we examined the rulebook and Powers and Abilities Card for ways to improve the layout, wording and organization. We also came up with some better ways to display information in HeroClix. General HeroClix rules changes are only going to be made at the time a new rulebook is printed. It’s too confusing to make changes that aren’t reflected in the current rulebook. As such, all the changes I’m talking about will be in the May DC HeroClix Starter Game, and not in products which come out earlier in than that this year.
I wanted to highlight five improvements we made to bring HeroClix closer to this philosophy:
1. The Power and Abilities Card is now a much more useful reference tool – it now includes Standard Powers, the Movement Icons rules, the Combat Abilities rules and the DC Team Abilities. The rules team examined all of the above list for unnecessary wordiness, and cleaned up the language in such a way that a game rule didn’t accidentally change as the word count was reduced.
2. In the previous rulebook, the rules for numerous topics were divided up and spread out over many sections. We grouped topics together wherever possible. Now, if you need to look up a rule pertaining to objects, the rules for that topic will all be in the same place.
3. The rulebook used to take up a fair amount of space discussing how to decide which tactics players would use, and giving names to each of those level. Players of all skill levels do this inherently, so we removed it. Now, the Core Rules section covers all tactics and treats all tactics as being part of HeroClix. If you want to make a house rule which excludes battlefield conditions, event dials of figures starting with the letter Q, go to town.
4. The rules team has also made some upgrades to figures themselves. We’ve added a new number to the clix dial which indicates which click you are on, with click number one being the figure’s starting click. Now if you need to pick up your figure for any reason, you can easily see which click your fig is on, in case you need to revert to that click. This will also help running tournaments quite a bit. For those of you who used to play Halo ActionClix, the number is in the same place on the dial – the area which which is uncovered by using a wedge dial as opposed to an L-dial.
5. Lastly, we’ve added a way for players to instant see by looking at a figure base if that figure has a trait. Since traits are ‘always on’, there should always be a reminder on the figure itself that a trait impacts how that figure plays. If a character has a trait, it will now have a ‘trait star’ icon (the one you find on the character card) printed on the figure base, to the left of the combat icons.
Please give us your feedback to these changes! In the coming weeks, we’ll be talking more about the Starter Game (including figures!) and other improvements we’ve made. Next up: Questions which Norm ends up answering every day, or, The Golden Rules of HeroClix!
With this update, newer figures are going to be easier to figure what click they're on (bad news for the "extra click"-practitioners :p). Good news to those who aren't 100% familiar with the fig an opponent is using (so you know how much damage you've done and estimate how much more you need to deal).
The STAR symbol will help with those figures with a trait (Lord knows we already have difficulty remembering to use Alias and Protected :)))
All in all, looks like another step in the right direction :cool:

Take a peek at some previewed figs. Looks like Clark Kent is grounded, has a speed of 5 and no range but can swap(notice the new symbol at the front of the figures' name) into range 8 2 targets, super-strength and what looks like HSS if my eyesight is reading it right.
Hakwman and Atom is a common at 120 points with Super Strength and a speed special power; Shazam/Black Adam is an SR, have The JSA TA, a 5 damage with CCE (!) and 17 impervious at least. Batman/Catwoman is 142 points with 3 damage outwit and looks like an Attack special power. :cool:

May tanong ako tungkol kay Cap, kung hindi nya iniignore ang hindering terrain sa lof, ibig sabihin hindi nya din kita yung mga figs na may stealth?
kasi ayon sa wording ng sp nya, indoor blocking terrain and walls lang ang nakakaharang sa lof nya, ibig sabihin,ang hindering terrain, hindi sya kaya harangan so walang +1 defense bonus.
otherwise, pag gumagana ang +1 defense bonus ng hindering kay cap, gumagana din ang stealth.

I thought the power was worded specifically only to not work on outdoor blocking terrain? The best way would be to check WK for a clear explanation of the power. Consider though, what blocks Line of Fire, other characters, blocking terrain. It doesn't say that he ignores hindering terrain like the power of Dr. Strange so based on that he probably doesn't ignore hindering terrain and the effects granted by hindering terrain. Not sure though, maybe a judge would like to clear the issue up?
On another note though, I just read GL 50....PARALLAX is back. :grin:

TAE! Ang gugulo niyo haha. Ang linaw na nga ng wording e. Cap's Deflection Trajectory reads:
DEFLECTION TRAJECTORY: Captain America's line of fire is blocked only by walls and indoor blocking terrain.
STEALTH: Any line of fire drawn to this character that crosses hindering terrain, including a square of hindering terrain occupied by this character, is considered blocked.
So Cap negates the blocking portion of Stealth. But since wala namang nasabi about Cap IGNORING hindering terrain, the target still benefits from the hindering terrain modifier.

ang issue lang kasi e... stealth grants the benefit of blocking LOS..since cap (outdoor) ignores the blocking of LOS.. makikita nya ung stealthed charatecer..and since hinde nya ignored ung hindering terrain +1 to def ung tinitira ni cap

meh the flash is overrated...225pts tapos tatapon mo lang sa kalaban mo..helpful in certain situations especially in big games...but even so...giving up 225pts in a 500pt game means you are desperate..those dead defensive clicks are annoyingly useless since flash has no range whatsoever...pa tk tk nalang cya at defend..highyl outwittable..since duo figs cannot have fortitude...ok ung mid dial nya
Unless me magandang combo fig with Flash, I gotta agree with Pat. For a 225 pt fig, ang hina ng opening click niya. Dami pang incompatible powers.
onga javey parang ang mahal ng cost nya sa ginagawa nya..sana man lang wala na ung special defend tk clicks nya at ginawa nalang HSS buong dial hinde bale medyo mababa ung damag or base stats nya..
tignan nyo naman ung KC flash...150pts pero ang lupit ng dial..not overpowered not useless..(esp now that 10% feat rules are in effect nawalan na ng bisa ung undercosted overfeated characters..
Personally for the flash, mababaw lang ako, parang yung green lantern/ flash, I know its not that usable but the sculpt makes me want it hehe...As for the starter, I actually want the sinestro corps scarecrow din, baka sa next set na sila atrocitus, I mean apparently sa schedule ng wizkids, may isa pang marvel and dc set for this year after the starter...

I actually think that B&B will be releasing a lot of new SPs that might make for some interesting combos. malay mo astig pala si flash + some other guy.
But yeah he's weak for 225 points. I would just go with the crisis SR instead of that one

Apparently the GL we're getting from the starter is a new Hal. Sculpt's not too shabby either.:grin: Hopefully the dial will be as inspiring as the figure. Here's hoping he gets a dial worthy of a GL. Although to be honest the Crisis one was pretty good.
