I've been playing for years and I recommend the game to everyone I can but certain rules, some of which have been going on since I started playing have irked me for years.

1) Characters with Super Strength should be able to put objects down. It doesn't make any logical sense that you can't.

2) You should be able to throw people into walls or off buildings with Telekinesis. That's what they do in the comic books after all and I really don't think it would be such a dramatic change that would break the game.

3) Duo Attack should not be outwittable/counterable. How exactly does Batman outwit King and Queen's Duo Attack? Did one of them just vanish into thin air?

There are alot more I'm sure but I'm too tired to really think more about it.

If nothing else allow me to say that #3 is something I hadn't considered...and now that I have....why in the nine levels of all that is not cool and generally unliked hadn't I thought of that?

I mean, really....Dubya Tee Eff my friend!?

That just plain ole makes sense.

Not that 1 doesn't....2 could be an easy implementation....treat it the same as falling off elevated terrain (and speaking of TK and elevated terrain why can't a TK'er drop someone off of elevated terrain?).

Where the heck was I? Oh yeah...#1 *sigh* That one just drives me bonkers. Anyone else envision the movie "Replacements" with Orlando Jones playing the reciever with all the 'stick-em' on his hands?

well when someone is outwitted it means to outsmart them right? so perhaps if batman were to outwit a duo character maybe he was able outsmart only one of them meaning only one can attack, just trying to make sense of it

He's Batman ...

but in case you need more...Batman throws a bat-bolo at the oncoming King and Queen which (only temporarily he knows) binds Queen so she can't attack.

Want one where he outwits the dolphin symbol?

I knew I shouldn't have used Batman as the example. Points for trying but if someone with Outwit can prevent one of the characters in a Duo from attack, why can't said Outwitter just outwit a single character's ability to attack too?

And come on, Duo figs need all the help they can get.

One thing i would like mainly because i like Batman enemy teams and and X-men is for character with super strength to use the carry ability. #1 all the way but im pretty sure that anti steath abuse right there. Superman carrys Bats and an object drop object drop Bats. Heck Terry could carry his hindering with him.

#2 Totally agree to make it simple make it range force blast with -3 to result minimum 1

#3 If cover Robin in ice should he be able to make an an attack? There are alot of creative reason for outwit like Darsied teleporting Loki away. Just think hard enough lol.

I thought that too but they could just make it so that you can only pick up the object or put it down when you move, not both.

You can justify pretty much anything if you think about it hard enough. Duo figures suck. As it is there's no reason to not just use both characters separately. They can't be carried or TKed. All they have going for them is the multi attack.

For me the dumbest rule is:

Critical Miss - I only know of one instance where a character Critically missed in a comic - messing up an attack so badly that he injured himself in the process - and that was a pretty dumb character (Man-Ape). Most superheroes and even supervillains are not nearly that incompetent.

I also agree about dropping objects. As well as making sense, it would add some interesting strategy to the game (being able to drop the Ladder special object might make it worth using for example). And there's enough ways to bypass stealth nowadays that stealth abuse is not as big an issue as it used to be.

Duos not being able to use their abilities is probably the only other thing that makes no sense. So if Cloak and Dagger are working as a team, they suddenly can't use their powers? Really, it's silly.
