Scenarios theme team specific feats [Archive]

I think rather than prob as a 1 or 2 time free action, that it should be specific to a keyword like a team of soldiers would have entrenched add 2 to defense when in hindering or armored should give invuln to team, deity should grant the power cosmic tho i do think it should cost to prevent unbalanced gameplay what do you guys think about this, could it be a feasible plan or create too much strife ?

Problem is making certain all of those variant bonuses are perfectly balanced.

Celebrity gets a really good bonus, or one with an unexpected synergy, and suddenly Booster Gold and Venom are everywhere. X-Men get a weak one, and kiss the mutants goodbye.

By offering the same bonus across the board, they don't have to worry about those balancing acts.

Exactly. I think it's a great idea. It's just too hard to balance.

Im in favor of theme team specific feats,but not for generic keywords. I want a Sinestro Corps,Sinister Six,Great Ten etc feats especially if Neca/wizkids wont be introducing new Team Abilities!

I don't think there should be any benefit inherent in the game system for building a Theme team outside of perhaps a bonus to Map choice and the option of taking or passing Initiative.

I do, however, really like Keywords as triggers or requirements for special powers and Feats. I dig that aspect.

I think past "Team feats" should be errated to only work with certain keywords.

ICWO (only 5 points if sharing any Keywords with an Oracle placed on the card), Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, (and any other ATA for that matter)

Ooh, except Legionnaires, which should be reworded to apply to any single Wildcard team ability. Or somesuch.

But yeah, I agree with your sentiment.
