I wanted to use the new HoT figures at 500pts.

For the first team, you could run enchantress instead of BRB, so she can fling the Warriors three into battle. stick compel on her, and the fun is double.

Not bad...I like your asguardian team I'm not sure how I feel about asguardian warriors on your second team but you wouldn't be able to fit 2 rock trolls. How about a Valkyrie and a warrior for an even 500? Other figures to consider are Heimdall to move your characters and Sif.

From what I have seen, if you can afford a Valkyrie and have an Asgardian Deity she is a slam dunk...

Drop 1 Asguardian Warrior and add 1 Valkyrie.

Use Ulik as your damage sponge for Loki and heal Ulik with the Valkyrie.

With Ulik's special power it will take a long time to crack him plus his low :d-normal: makes healing him fairly easy.

Consider this. If you take one Warrior and on Valkyrie and distribute damage from Loki to both Ulik and the Warrior you can maximize the Damage reduction and Heal both characters with Valkyrie thus increasing your overall damage output with all three..

And if your opponent goes for your Valkyrie then the rest of team has that much more time to attack without taking damage.

Either way you win.

Just my take.

Yes, indeed. If his SP had said damage from a successful attack it wouldn't but it says all damage dealt, doesn't matter where the damage comes from.
