He is the piece that binds the Runaways together. I really dig him.

Chase is a sleeper hit for this set. You play the Runaways based on Nico's amazing versatility and Molly's incredible dial, but Chase proves his worth on the field. A leap/climb taxi has always been an impressive (and rare) commodity, but Chase ups the ante by a lot when he goes Green Lantern with his juvenile pals. This isn't just for the opening setup; Chase should be spending the whole game moving your Runaways and Teens around to the most effective locations, freeing up tied-up ranged attackers and returning a napping Molly to Nico for a quick caffeine injection. His sculpt isn't from his best appearances, but it is definitive.

The Leapfrog power is cool, but I can't help but think that 6 speed is a bit slow for it. I'm not really sure why Chase has Close Combat Expert and Combat Reflexes, he should have Ranged Combat Expert and Energy Shield. He does make the Runaways a lot more playable, though, and he can actually hit pretty hard for a Taxi. Play him with Lunge for added fun!

Ironically the distant loner is the glue that holds the runaways together in Clix form. A must for Runaways teams, and likely to be popular for teen teams because of Leapfrog. The titans will love him, although the LoSH will mostly jst snub him because they already fly. Outside of his worth as a limited maxi-taxi though, the dial doesn't really have anything going for it, so make sure to keep him in the middle of a group of his friends.

Great figure, but should have been Unique. Whether you add Lunge or Pounce, he'll be a pain to deal with on Teen themes (especially if multiples are used).

Absolutely amazing for his points. Leapfrog alone makes him worth his point value

Great SP make this guy worth playing. I played all the Runaways on my team last night, and they were much better than I expected. Chase here is a great little taxi to get them into the fray, and with the CCE, he can dish out some Damage himself. I had hm carry all the Runaways, and the Spider-Thor. Once he'd dropped them all off, he kept Gertrude and Old Lace, and 'Leap Frogged' his way to some figures. Good figure, with a great power set.

A restricted Green Lantern for under 50 points is a good buy though you can't stake your team's entire game mobility on him as, even though carrying doesn't give him the -2 modifier, his speed value is still a measly 6 so he won't be taking people that far, ever. Still, it's nice to have the option; especially as it gives him the means to carry his flying and duo Runaway buddies (not that Karolina Dean really needs it, but Arsenic & Old Lace sure). Chase has some surprising damage output at this cost as well in the form of CCE. CCE that is defended by carrying people around who might obscure line of sight to him and by his own combat reflexes. This helps make him surprisingly versatile; as does his Energy Explosion. Consider having Chase's friends (such as Karolina) carry HIM into combat initially and have him carry THEM back out or just into a new position in the mid-game. Chase's accuracy suffers as, while I appreciate the CCE making him more than a one trick pony and all the CCE potentially protecting him some, the character REALLY doesn't warrant 4 damage or 18 defense. Also, since they're going all out for his leapfrog angle, he should be able to move further and the sculpt should reflect the leapfrog; perhaps even make him double base (say, with just the top of the leap frog peeking out of water such as with Black Manta's laser shark). This would have inhibited his ability to be carried before he does the carrying but would have been more accurate with them going for the full leapfrog angle and not just the fistigons.

No "vehicle" keyword? Still, a pretty decent dial and fills a nice role for Runaways/teen teams.
