Breaking News - The Sinister Six have been seen terrorizing the New York water front. The assemblage, some of the worst villains the city has ever seen, have repeatedly come into conflict with the masked menace Spider-man. Over the years they have routinely been opposed by the wall-crawler, but alas so far Spider-man has not been seen.

Police reports already confirm 20 civillians among the casualties of this latest rampage. That number is expected to climb significantly if something isn't done soon.

The Six has had a slightly changing roster over the years, and has included the likes of Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Electro, Sandman, the Vulture, and the Hobgoblin (who replaced Kraven the Hunter upon his death). Individually these are some of the biggest names in the criminal underworld, combined they are a deadly force who have several times almost succeeded in their world domination plots.

With the chaos and carnage mounting, this reporter is left asking; Where are the heroes when you need them?

I'm looking for 19 heroes and villains to slug it out on the streets of New York. This is a mafia game based on Erik Larsen's Revenge of the Sinister Six 6 issue arc from Spider-man (issues 18-23). The game will start around the 25th of January.

Man, I loved this arc. This and Round Robin: Sidekick's Revenge were two of the first big Spider-arcs I remember reading.

I love the Sinister Six, and for my money think they're one of the best 'AE Combined' teams going.

Spidey does have just about the best rogues gallery in comics. Sure he has some total hosers in there, but by and large he has a very good stable of villains that writers can pick and choose from (outside of the main six, there is Venom, Scorpion, Shocker, Beetle, Speed Demon, Rhino, Hydroman, Cardiac, Lizard, Chameleon, Green Goblin, The Rose, Puma, Kingpin, and more)

Most definitely in. And I'm really glad to see that you mentioned Chameleon, The Rose and Cardiac! 3 of my all time favorite villains! Now if NECA would just make them.....In fact, if you look at any of my lists detailing what figures I really want to be made in the next Heroclix set, these 3 are always on it.

But I agree, Spidey definitely has an awesome rogues gallery. And I, too, love the Sinister Six.

You may be interested in the latest Spidey arc then. It's called "The Gauntlet" and has Kraven's daughter reassembling the true Sinister Six and making them legitimate threats again. Chameleon also had an arc a few issues back that upped him to a whole new level of creepy (but still interesting).

IIRC Electro's stuff actually increased his own electricity power - if I remember the final battle correctly he was still throwing lightning bolts left and right.
But yeah, it's pretty hilarious. Too bad they didn't include Spider-Man's "temporary cyborg bandages" as well... :)
