Ah...no.

He's referring to the comic book character that was affiliated with the Brotherhood.

Ive only heard of him, I dont know anything on his background other than his brotherhood affiliation.

No Sauron is a enemy of the x-men. He will be pretty good character.

SAURON: Karl Lykos, a non-mutant variant who discovered that he could absorb life-energy from mutants to augment his own life-force. Unfortunately, doing so turned him into a sort of were-pterodactyl creature.

The pterodactyl-creature named itself Sauron, after the villain of Tolkien's "Lord Of The Rings" series, since it intended to be really, really evil. Sauron sometimes doesn't remember that he is sometimes Karl Lykos, and when he DOES remember, doesn't much care for the idea that he could become a human if his energy levels drop too low. This is generally how the X-Men have defeated him -- make him use up energy until he reverts to his Karl Lykos form (who is not especially evil, nor opposed to the X-Men.)

Sauron's powers include flight, hypnotic mind control, and the ability to leech off mutants' life energies to fuel his own powers.

Hmmmm. I wonder if there'll be a Sauron in the next set? He's kind of a minor X-character, but he's got some history behind him, he's a great visual, AND he's have mind control...


But what I really want is a Stegron, the Dinosaur man!

Sauron could be a decent clix. Mind control, steal energy, taxi, maybe some shape change or battle fury...
