1. Was kingpin represented well?
I think overall yes. Played the role as well as could be expected in the limited time available.
2. Was the movie better than spiderman?
Two very different movies. Spiderman is completely an origin story. Where as Daredevil plays more as a turning point. Spiderman is more of an all audiences film where as Daredevil is more violent and edgy. As it ought to be.
3. Did Ben Afleck play a good Matt Murdock?
I had my doubts about Ben but I have to admit he was great. thought they all performed well but thought the standout character was Foggy. It was very faithful in terms of depicting the characters relationships.
4. Was Jenifer as fine as she always is? Incredible.
5. Did bullseye get a suit? No but Colin Farell is fast becoming an actor to watch and he was fantastic in this.
I thought this movie was extremely enjoyable to watch.
and please tell me what the climax is thanks.

sorry I copied your request for the climax but think that it would be lame to give it away just go see the movie dummy. It's worth the $10 buck or hell go see a matinee for $7.00 :) You will enjoy many cute references to writers and artists names used in areas of the film.
Kingpin: I thought he was great. No white guy could have done a better job! :p
Better than Spiderman?: Ummm...no, not really...not even close. Nowhere near as good. I think Spiderman was better because it maintained a playful innocence that Daredevil didn't. Spiderman reminded me of childhood comic-book-reading fun, but Daredevil just reminded me of...Batman Returns.
Ben Affleck: great job as daredevil, but Matt Murdock lacked alot of facial expression.
Garner: Ummm...did anyone else reeeally like her silver dress??
Climax: I think it was from Elektra's fight with bullseye until the fight with Kingpin.
I thought it was entertaining, and I'll buy it on DVD. The X2 trailer was better than the entire Daredevil movie, though. I really liked the art direction in Daredevil (and Batman Returns, too) and will probably go see it again just for that (and for Jennifer Garner  )

1. Was kingpin represented well?
Yes, it's hard to be large, classy, and tough. I don't know if anyone could have pulled it off better.
2. Was the movie better than spiderman?
I Enjoyed it more than Spidey. Like someone else already said, they're different kinda flicks. I've read a hundred reprints of Amazing Fantasy 15. Can't wait for Spidey 2, though..
3. Did Ben Afleck play a good Matt Murdock?
Why, yes, he did. He's a fan. A comic book adaption by folks who actually enjoy comics, why didn't anyone else think of that?
4. Was Jenifer as fine as she always is?
Yep.
5. Did bullseye get a suit?
No, but he was a lot cooler than I thought he would be.
1. Was kingpin represented well? - Yes, no known actor could have played the part better. If they had gotten an old fat Marlin Brando or King Kong Bundy the end fight between DD and Kingpin would have looked stupid. MCD was great as Kingpin, can't wait to see what htey have the character do to DD in the next one.
2. Was the movie better than spiderman? - Yes and No. Daredevil was a lot shorter then Spider-Man so the story wasn't developed as well (the hatered between Spider-Man and Goblin had a lot more time to develop then the hatered between Kingpin or Bullseye). However the movie was a lot darker, gritter. The fight scenes were better. IT was more real, like when he takes off his costume and hes just coveredin scares from all the fighting or when he needs to take painkillers.
3. Did Ben Afleck play a good Matt Murdock? - Ben Affleck was great as Daredevil. He played the Matt Murdock and Daredevil parts very well, he was totally believable as a blind man and as a superhero. His love of and passion for the character really came through.
4. Was Jenifer as fine as she always is? - Yes
5. Did bullseye get a suit? - I liked his new costume better. Just think about it, would the best shot and killer in the world wear a silly looks costume and a mask? No, he'd dress like they had bullseye in themovie.
The climax is when Daredevil gains sight for a few seconds (becasue of the water) and proves how good he is by taking down kingpin insisde of those few seconds. He gains revenge for his father and Elektra as well as gets his sole back by not killing him.
One question - why would they not say the reports (I forget his name) works the Bugle (sp). It would help link the two movies. I think they should treat all the marvel movies like they treat the comics. Have the X-Men watching the news when they are doing a report on Spider-Man. Peter Park swings by the Fantastic Four building. Foggy has a paper with a picture of the X-Men on it. Maybe even write a scene were Peter Park (or any other chacater) needs some legal advice and they go see Matt Murdock (have Affleck do a little cameo). That kinda stuff is part of what makes the Marvel world great (they were doing it before DC was). Everyone was in the world. I think the Hardcore fans would ove it and the casual movie goer's would get a kick/laugh out of that kinda stuff.
I wonder if people who have no idea who Stan Lee are starting to think "why is that guy always in the background"

1) Was Kingpin represented well? YES! That was terrific; it gave me goosebumps!
2)Was the movie better than Spiderman? Well, that's hard to say. In my own personal opinion, I liked it a lot more. It doesn't stick to the comics heart-and-soul like Spiderman did, but it's got a much more realistic feel to it, and allows the watcher to actually get into the action.
3) Did Ben Affleck play a good Matt Murdock? Yup. Great job on his part. Overall, though, I think the best casting was Bullseye. I have a strange new respect for Colin Farrell. He's my favorite character of the entire movie. (and it's really cool that I got to keep his banner, since I work at a theatre :D )
4) Was Jennifer as fine as she always is? Well, I actually haven't seen her in much else, as I don't watch "Alias", but I don't see how it could get too much better...;)
5) Did Bullseye get a suit? No, thankfully. He was much better without it. He did have a cool accent, though. Me likea much-much.

1. Was kingpin represented well? Kingpin was not bad at all, could have built a deep story for Kingpin but overall, very good.
2. Was the movie better than spiderman? Spiderman gets this one, but Daredevil was close
3. Did Ben Afleck play a good Matt Murdock? I could not think of anyone else who could of played Matt Murdock any better than he did.
4. Was Jenifer as fine as she always is? She was good, but could of be better.
5. Did bullseye get a suit? No, just a treaches coat.
Can't wait for the next sequel of Daredevil.
Just imagin Jennifer Love Hewitt as electra in a very tight leather suit YUM YUM:p !

I organized a whole group of my friends to go see daredevil last night, and i must admit... i was disapointed. Not in daredevil, but in my friends. after leaving the movie, i sensed some frowns in my group, and I, who thought the movie was enjoyable, was puzzled. I think that people, who have never read comics, have a tough time accepting everything that happens in comic book movies as "realistic." Its strange, those same people will sit through Lord of the Rings and be enthralled and then call daredevil "unrealistic". take bullseye for instance. my friends could not get past the idea of and assine who throws things like paper clips, deadly enough to kill people. they thought it was ridiculous and unbelievable. sure, you might not meet bullseye at the grocery store next week, but i don't let that stop me from enjoying a movie. anyway....
as for Kingpin: He did a wonderful job, the deep voice and his intimidating figure do wonders for wilson fisk's character.
Was it better than spiderman: its a toss up. Daredevil is almost an antihero. He struggles with doing right and wrong. He doesnt always make the best decision. he's not like spiderman and the movie does not "feel" like spiderman at all. much darker, much more violent.
Did ben afleck play a good daredevil: there were points in the movie that he was unbelievable as a superhero, points that came off kind of cheesy. although i dont think Ben is to blame for this. I think the blame should be cast more on the writers. all in all afleck did a passable job. by the way, when "Ben afleck" appeared in the opening credits, my buddy yelled, "AFLACK" real loud, you know like the duck commercials. it was funny.
did bullseye get a suit: NO. his costume was great. Colin farrel was great at this role.. i almost started to cheer for bullseye halfway through.
all in all...enjoyable movie. some cheesy parts, but all in all, entertaining and different.

oh i missed a couple:
jennifer garner was a good elecktra...cute and deadly when pushed too far. I was constantly saying throughout the movie..."yeah, electra (or daredevil or the kingpin) would act like that."
and the climax of the movie: when bullsey throws the glass. anyone whos seen it...you know what i mean. un freakin believable!
Ok you see, it is like Blue Firelord has a 11 to hit a defense of 15 so you only need a 4 to hit...right....double "2"s would be great cause he is on the edge of a building and the fall damagae mixed with your ranged combat expert will kill them...all you need is a lousy four...i mean snake eyes would suck...but all you need to do is roll a 4....and you rolled 3...
well the movie daredevil was like that....it didn't need to roll that high....a lousy 4 would have been good...but how in the hell coould it suck so bad as to be a 3....
don't go see this it will only disappoint you

I thought it was enjoyable, some ppl didn't like the jumping from building to building gig. Unrealistic, sure, but that's comics...
Elektra should have kicked Bullseye a bit more... wasn't she trained by the hand or is that just me?

1. Was kingpin represented well?
I'm a dirty dog... he was a kick-arse KP and I don't take things like that lightly.I just wish he'd have had more screen time.
2. Was the movie better than spiderman?
This was grittier all the way through, you could tell even the film it was on was darker than Spider-man. This movie beats out Spider-man for one reason in my mind, it doesn't have a MCay Gray seen in it. That seemed like a sell out moment in Spider-man. This didn't really sell out too much.
3. Did Ben Afleck play a good Matt Murdock?
Hey, Daredevil was in that movie, Matt Murdock was in that movie. If it couldv'e been done better, I wouldn't think it'd have to have been.
4. Was Jenifer as fine as she always is?
She usually dolls herself up a lil' better when she comes to my casa for late night interludes, but I suggested she tone it down for the flick.
5. Did bullseye get a suit?
He didn't really need it, he had some key facial expressions for the flick, it was represented well.
Overall, the movie was great. I thought having Elektra in the first of these movies was stupid. Whatever happened to the 20 years of working through that relationship.
The jumping from building to building without his Billy Club was not realistic although it would make the non DD lovers possibly come to take another look at him.
Now to answer the questions.
1. Was kingpin represented well? Very much so. Lucky for the actor that he will be in many more Marvel movies to come.
2. Was the movie better than spiderman? It was a completely different movie. the special affects were better and should have been used in the Spidey movie.
3. Did Ben Afleck play a good Matt Murdock? Probably the ideal choice for DD. Afleck was the perfect representation of DD.
4. Was Jenifer as fine as she always is? extremely fine. Other than have Elektra in the first movie, she did a great job.
5. Did bullseye get a suit? Not telling.

1) Once you get over the fact that Kingpin isn't suppose to be black it's not hard to see that Michael Clarke Duncan played a terrific role. I thought James Gandolfini would have been great, but Duncan did not disappoint at all.
Over all Grade A-
2) No spiderman was much better. While Toby mcguire may be as dorky/goofy as ben affleck, you expect Spidey to be more goofy than DD, so its more believable and realistic. Furthermore all the fight scenes were in the dark, which greatly diminished my enjoyment of the movies, as its easy to not see much of the action. However, the special effects of DD's "radar sense" were really neat, Colin farrell was fantastic as the irish "house of pain everlastesque" bullseye, and Garner was gorgeous. That said spiderman was just a better story and much cooler, IMO. Had they cast someone better suited to the part of DD, and done the fight scenes in better lighting, it would have gotten a B easy, despite the weak story arc.
Over all grade C+
3) I couldn't get over the protagonists' ben affleckisms. He just not superhero material. They make DD out to be this bad ###, and you just can't believe that of affleck with a straight face. While Spidey worked for mcguire because of the aforementioned goofy character factor, it doesn't work for affleck at all. He does not even portray a good lawyer part.
Over all Grade D+
4) Finer than fine.
Over all Grade A
5) Bullseye got a trenchcoat, but it didn't matter what he wore. Colin Farrel was the highlight of the movie alongside of Garner's Elektra. He was a terrific villain. While I initially thought this guy was just another actor trying to be cool, I found he was great in the recruit, but really shined as the "throw anything" deadly nemesis in DD. I thought he was fantastic, and using his true native irish accent was a charm. He was so bad ###, that when DD beats him at the end, you can't seriously believe it.
Over all grade: A
In closing, the movie is not bad for a comics/clix fan, but not even close to a LOTR or Matrix. Hope this helps.

Bullseye was the best part of the movie.
The music videos could have been cut without hurting anything.
The fast edit fight scenes don't work that well. The entire reporter angle was a little weak too, and he could have been removed from the movie without much trouble. The opening with Daredevil going after the scumbag Matt Murdoch failed to convict was just weird. I don't recall DD being a minor clone of Batman, hell bent on revenge and bloodthirsty, but then I'm old Marvel, pre-Miller and find a lot of the "gritty reality" boring.
The most we learned about the Kingpin is that he likes cigars and hurting people. The entire concept of him going after Elektra because "he kills the entire family" leaves the question of why he didn't kill young Matt. Yeah, yeah, he was just an enforcer with a fondness for roses back then. Fine.
And then the ending.... everybody lives? Everybody? Elektra dies, comes back to leave gifts. DD gets gored, but then gets better. Bullseye gets knocked off, but recovers and Kingpin is going to go to jail for two and half weeks. What the? So unless DD pushes you in front of the C train, you'll be okay? Feh!
Well.... Bullseye was a lot of fun. Did I mention that?

The movie was successful for one main reason, and it's something you ALL should consider when bi+ching and moaning about it: It made my non-comic book reading fiancee want to know more about the characters.
In that respect, it wasn't embarrassing.
I enjoyed it, not as much as Spider-Man, or even X-Men, but I did think it was fine and big fun. A no-brainer. And more faithful to the source material than I thought it would be (I low-balled it in my mind, just in case it was going to tank). So, there you go. It was fun. Lots of nice asides for all of the comic dorks in the audience, too.
If you're worried about it, go see it at a matinee. You'll get your money's worth for sure, then.

1) He was awesome, definitely best choice for the job. He portrayed Kingpin's ability to take your life by a simple threat and still enjoy a party as Wilson Fisk.
2)Nah, Spiderman seemed orignal in most aspects. This movie was just like if the Batman movie's were made today. Very dark, Very Gritty, Very true to the comic.
3)Not really, he couldn't bring Daredevil's persona to life, and didn't seem to be acting at all. He did alright as a blind person, but not too great.
4)YES, LOVE DAT LEATHER! She couldn't really get Elektra right though. She seemed Innocent throught most of the movie, not like the cold-blooded assasin she is in the comics. Doesn't even look like Elektra, but still looked really good.
5)No, but tried to use long jacket as a cape( subtle humor, but great) Colin Ferrel brought the insanity to Bullseye that was really neede. Loved the scene with the old lady on the airplane.
I give it a 7.5 out of 10
