Just wondering. If so, did you use the 100- or 200-point version? Has anyone been daring enough to use JUST Sinestro in a 300-point game?

I recently used him in a 300 pt. tournament and I was suprised how well he worked. I used the 100pt version with V nightwing, U desaad, E steel, and a R checkmate agent. I used sinestro to capture and get the double points (My play of the day was capturing E Superman, 346pt's for one character!). I took second in the tourney but ended up w/ nearly 1000 victory points in 3 rounds. What I like about him is that for 100 pts you get a character with more health than any other regular character, RCE, 10 range, muliti-attack, and a decent defense. Most people are afraid of him so they spend their time trying to take him out, meanwhile I just whittle them down w/Nightwing and Steel. He's fun and much more playable than the sentinel, hey he was good enough to win me a LE harleen Quinzel. :D

I used him in a 200 point tourney in his 100 pt. version with LE Ted Kord (51), Rookie Huntress (18), and an Experienced and a Rookie Checkmate Medic (17 & 13). I managed to break 400 points in two of the three rounds, and getting cleaned out by Veteran Nightwing, Rookie Hakwman, Veteran Bane, Experienced Checkmate Medic team. Second overall.

The novelty of Sinestro is still there, and people worry about the big guy, and spend a lot of time attacking him. He's weak against ranged attacks, somewhat, but the main bonus from him is he makes a great distraction while if your opponent tries to attack him in hand to hand, you can scoop the offender up and head back for those double points.

Once the LE Hal Jordan is out, should be even more interesting...

Sinestro is very powerful, unless someone get's a heavy hitter on top of you. That sucks big time because say a firelord, bane, or something is ontop of you wacking you that's 5 points, then 5 points again...he only takes 11.. his defense is low, so watch out for those that do alot fo damage.

A freind of mine used a 300pt sinestro in a 300 point game. It was a three way game which helped in makeing it easyer to win. I don't know the exact details of the battle but it ended up with sinestro stomping all over the game map. What the sinestro player did was kinda run and hide untill he could get a shot at dr. Doom. Once that happened his biggest threat was off the board and he prceeded to trample all in his way. It is a sad say when you have to click you experienced dr. doom 6 times because you got your mastermind outwited then you were criticaly hit.

I used a 300 pt Sinestro in a 500 pt game. The rest of my team was Darkseid and Desaad.

I played vs. OW@W Superman, E Batman, V Hawkman, ? Steel and R Plastic man.

I trashed them. (snicker.) In one multi attack I cut superman and batman down to size, and from there it was easy.

His ability to push repeatedly is very handy when used well. Trash the most powerful pieces in your first attack (with 5 clicks). Take anything else out in the next attack for 4 clicks.

And with Darkseid and Desaad, I was outwitting everything my friend had.

Well, he wasnt playing too smart if he had Batman out of hindering terrain. Stealthed outwit is the bane of Sinestro, no matter what the point total.

I played the 200pt Sinestro in a 200pt tournament. There were only 3 players there, so I only got to play one game. The only reason I lost is because E-Daredevil made his super senses roll all 3 times I hit him, and I had no Outwit.

Batman was in hindering terrain. I moved Sinestro into b2b contact, and did a multi attack (one ranged on superman, one close on batman). Did I mention liking the multi attack?

I used him last night for the first time in a 600 point game. With the right support he's really great. I didn't take a single click of damage to any figure the whole game and eventually my two opponents conceeded.

One guy has played Sinestro at the 100-point level in the last two 200-point tourneys locally.

He did quite well the first time, scoring more than 400 points in each of his first two games by capturing models and bringing them back to his deployment zone.

Then he met me in the final round, and Bane took Sinestro apart like a jigsaw puzzle; he didn't get a single VP. He ended up in 3rd place, but took home Fellowship.

Yesterday he played a similar army and didn't have nearly the same result; he got mauled in all three games -- and I shut him out in our game again.

I played the same team in both tourneys:

R Hawkman
E Bane
V Nightwing
V Checkmate Medic

IMHO, Sinestro doesn't have a chance against this (200 point) team, no matter what kind of support he has.

The reason I mention this team is that I'm using Sinestro. Because I haven't had a chance to use this team yet I don't know if it will work like it seems to on paper.

500 point "Clash of the Titans" army...
The local venue will be doing a 500 pt. "Clash of the Tiatans" game in a few weeks, and I thought I'd run my team past you guys.

NOTE: No character can be under 75 points...

The team is 492 points
100 - Rookie Sinestro
92 - Experienced Batman
103 - Veteran Magneto
116 - Unique "Black Costume" Spider-Man
81 - Experienced Firelord

My idea is to start Spidey on hindering terrain, & have him use Defend on Sinestro. Spidey will be untargetable thanks to Batmans team ability, and the Sinestro will have a def. of 18 plus Energy Sheild.

Meanwhile, Firelord acts as a taxi for Magneto. I know, I know. I never thought I'd see the day Firelord was a taxi. But his high speed and def. will be of use. Plus if I need to weeken someone, I can just blast them... Anyway, Magneto will use his TK to move enemy figures into btb with Sinestro, who will then do a Capture attack. Next turn I can push Sinestro to Remove the figure and get double the points.

Batman acts as a kind of handyman, moving around the board and weakening the opposition for Magneto. He'll be using his Outwit to make TK/Capturing figures easier, and Incapacitating some other guys to tie them up. His Willpower means I don't have to worry about pushing, and his built in Stealth will be a big help, especially with Spidey copying it.

Well, first time ive plaed Heroclix, i bought a Sinestro, and played a Ridler, Bane, Sinestro 400 point team in a 3 way game, got 2nd in both games but i did steal a superman. The idea was to perplex Sinestro and just go killing others. didnt work out too well. Any suggestiosn for 400 point sinestro teams?

I'm running a large DC 500pt Tournament at this very moment. There are 2 players playing 300 pt Sinestros at the moment. They seem to being doing well (they each won their first round game). We will how they do overall. I think in high point games, Sinestro is a big threat. Smaller point games, it's a different story.
