Well guys, it's that time again. I'm stuck.

I have a 200 point game coming up, and I'm looking to run something enjoyable, dangerous, but not astoundingly competitive.

Option 1: M-11 x2, V Red Tornado from CD. Leaves me with 15 points for feats, and it is a Robot themed team.

Option 2: AW Mystique, AW Wolverine, and Smokey foot Captain America. leaves me with 16 left over for feats.

Option 3: Tear them both up and start again. What do you think?

I really like Team 2. Lots of feat options. Swingline on Cap, Inside Information and Alias on Wolverine or Cap, Pym Particles on Cap, Nanobots on Mystique or Wolverine, Ambush on Mystique, and Lucky Break on any of em (or all of them!)

one of my favorite 200-point teams crosses universes:

E Elongated Man (CollDamage) 58
E Spider-Man (Universe Starter) 40
E Scarlet Witch (FanForces) 49
E Jinx (Legacy) 48

good mobility (Leap/Climb, Phasing), 'free' moves (JLA TA), and three characters with Probability Control... it's a bit cheesy, but... it also leaves enough room for the Vault feat...

If you don't mind getting trounced:

15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid
15 SI002 Moloid

50 SI031 Mole Man
12 JLF007 Contingency Plan
3 SIF006 Alias

200 pts

EDIT::: ignore this for an actual team... I was just being silly when I posted this. :)

Option 2 would be my choice.
M-11 is one of those pieces your opponent will hate you for playing... especially if you play more than one.

NEXTWAVE.
V Pulsar 104
U Machine Man 63
+ Thunderbolts 5
+ Lunge 5
V Meltdown 23
= 200 points. Fun yet somewhat competitive themed team in this build size.

DC'S GOLDEN AGE TRINITY
U OR Superman 93
+ Lunge 5
LE OR Wonder Woman 51
U OR Batman 44
+ Lunge 5
= 198 points. Also themed (Justice Society).

(My Atlanta) FALCONS
R Sin Falcon 30
E Sin Falcon 46
"Snap" Wilson 60
LE Sam Wilson 53
= 189 points. Just for the pure fun of it.

You're getting rep just for the Nextwave. And I'd love to do that Trinity team as well. Sudden...desire...for lower point games...

I've been wanting to try out the run of Rookie Avengers that have come out since the Avengers set (now that Cap is out to round them out).
SR Scarlet Witch 35
SR Quicksilver 49
SR Wasp 37
R Captain America 72
Total 193
Gives you 7 pts for a feat or two.

I really like the second one...love the shield team ability adding range or damage with Cap's special power...

Where the heck are you playing this team anyway? I have a Daredevil I want to abuse!!

Or, if you forgo costly feats (and no longer own a SR Quicksilver):

SILVER-AGE AVENGERS
SR Scarlet Witch 35
SR Wasp 37
SR Hawkeye 56
HoT Captain America 72
= 200 points. Add Alpha Flight if you like, but the normal Avengers TA actually has great utility in 200-point games. One more 200-pointer I need to add to my pre-builds:

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
Star-Lord 90
Rocket Raccoon 65
Bug 44
= 199 points.

And, of course, The Kids Are All Right (http://heroclixin.wordpress.com/2009/09/08/the-kids-are-all-right/).

I love this team. Just played an Avengers-vs-Masters of Evil team last night and had everyone but Scarlet Witch on the team.

I would say, in this instance, indeed put Alpha Flight on the team. I agree with what Rurouni is saying in terms of using the regular Avengers TA, but I would say "only if you have five or more figures" in a 200 point game. Especially with two of your figures being fliers, you shouldn't have any trouble maximizing a rotational cylce of two figures actioning per turn. And remember, Cap has Leadership, so you maybe can get that third action some of the time.

Alpha Flight will definitely help Witch and Wasp, will help Hawkeye when he's using Running Shot, and will make Cap even that much more ridiculous.

For a 200 point Avengers team, I'd probably go for a version of Cap's Kooky Quartet:
HoT Captain America 72
+ Contingency Plan 12
SR Hawkeye 56
SR Scarlet Witch 35
E IC Quicksilver 24
199 points. Quicksilver is a very good harasser/tie-up piece that can let the other guys fire at will.

How about SI Benjamin J. Grimm and SI Human Torch?

Not fancy by any means, but it could be a lot of fun. If they stick close together they'll at least have dial-wide Toughness, their numbers are okay and decent damage output for a 200 point game.

LE Johnny Storm, V Lockjaw and SI Spider-Man is another nasty-looking option for a 200 point Fantastic Four team. There's room for feats too, like Lunge on Spider-Man...

You could always go hero and sidekick:

Option 1: Batman and Robin
AA099 Batman 119
+Outsmart 10
AA034 Robin 66
+Flashbang 3
= 199 points

Option 1a: Batman and Robin (which they may not have seen in a while)
IO042 Batman 119
+Stunning Blow 10
AA034 Robin 66
+Flashbang 3
= 198 points

Option 2: Flash and Kid Flash
JL027 The Flash 114
LG030 Kid Flash 81
CDB006 Linda Park-West 4
= 199 Points
(You could go with CR Wally West instead of Kid Flash, but a) it wouldnt be as thematic and b) the perplex might be useful if you need to crack invuln)

Are you a Marvel guy?
Is this restricted?

Sometimes 200-point events can be great fun with tandems like...
Marvel Team-Up or Marvel Two-In-One

- Spider-Man and Doctor Strange
- Spidey and DD
- Spidey and Howard the Duck
- Hulk and Ka-Zar
- Power-Man and Iron Fist
- The Thing and Spidey
- The Thing and Moon Knight
- The Thing and Man-Thing
- The Thing and Valkryie
- The Thing and Ghost Rider
- The Thing and Shang-Chi
- The Thing and Starhawk

I like this version better too! I'd go with this or the Next Wave team that was mentioned.

Thank you for this link / resource, IceHot. These are so great! They offer good ideas for unusual team-ups and remind me of a wonderful age of comics... i found a few of the Team-Up issues that i still have in our attic... <sigh> ( is that New Year's melancholy creeping in already?... )

EDIT: I am unable to rep you again so soon, IceHot...
